Conveniently compressible, reliably waterproof.

The Mammut Men's Convey Pant features waterproofing for any condition, and it's lightweight and compressible for backpacking into the alpine. Mammut made the majority of the Convey with Gore-Tex's Paclite 2.5-layer fabric for increased packability that doesn't hinder its waterproof, breathable protection. Gore-Tex three-layer fabrics cover more exposed areas for enhanced waterproofing. Fully taped seams prevent raindrops and snowflakes from seeping through.

Mammut also equipped the Convey with full-length side zippers for easy on-and-off, even with boots on. The side zippers are two-way to double as ventilated slits when you work up a sweat. Adjustments at the hem and each cuff offer a secure fit, and reinforcements at the knee, edge, and seat ensure durability. The zippered pocket at the leg is perfectly sized for a map.

  • Gore-Tex Paclite (2.5L)
  • Three layer Gore-Tex in highly exposed zones
  • Fully taped seams
  • Full-length, two-way side zippers
  • Adjustable hem and cuffs
  • Knee, edge, and seat reinforcement
  • Zippered front, side, and leg pockets

Nice pant, but strange waist adjustment

  • Gender:Male
  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
  • Fit:Runs large
  • Height: 6'0"
    Weight: 158 lbs
    Size Purchased: L

I bought these for winter back packing and mountaineering in the north east. I first bought the size large (under the advice of customer service with the assumption they would fit well over layers) but when they came, they were too big. The waist does have adjustable cinches that took the waist down so it fit, BUT, the adjustment straps are on the inside of the waist band so the excess waist band just bows out (ended up bowing out over an inch from my hip on each side). I then ordered a size medium, and they were barely any smaller and did not work either while wearing thin tights underneath, or with thick fleece pants. for what its worth, I am a 32 waist. I ended up returning both and bought arc'terex beta ar pants which were perfect.

the picture makes the pants look black and grey, but they are more black and green (I ordered black/graphite). that being said, they are a very attractive pant, the green with the red logos is very sharp
