Set the mood in the backcountry.

Whether you're turning the pages of a favorite book or looking to create some romantic ambiance, simply drop a headlamp in the Mammut Ambient Light Dry Bag. The opaque material instantly turns an aggressive headlamp beam into a soft, ambient light source. Plus, the waterproof construction allows this sack to perform equally well as dry bag.

  • Opaque material diffuses a headlamp beam to create soft, ambient lighting
  • Waterproof construction and a roll-top closure allow the bag to also perform as a dry bag
  • Top and bottom attachment points provide versatile hanging options

Better Dry Bag than Latern Bag

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Barely dissolves the light enough to illuminate a tent. I guess it's better than nothing and doubles as a mini dry bag, but don't count on it making it easier to ruffle through your duffle in a dark tent.

Any one know the volume of the bag?

Any one know the volume of the bag?

Sierra Trading Post lists the bag as having a volume of 3L, with dimensions registering as 14" length x 8 1/2" diameter.

Hope this helps!

The volume of a cylinder 14" tall and 8.5" in diameter would be 13L not 3l

Super cool

I got one of these for extra storage while I am backpacking. I use it on a clothes line so I can move it around. Using it where I am cooking or move it over a bit so everyone can enjoy it. Its worth the little bit of money for how handy it is

I think this is clever, but I wonder about the quality of the material. Is it a gimmick or is it actually a good dry bag? It also seems like it would just get dirty really fast.

it probably will get dirty quick. but as far as quality, mammut makes high quality stuff, so there is no worry there. the bag should shed rain no problem, but a full submersion will probably cause a leak
