Uncomfy fit and itchy

By:
November 22, 2009

I'm 6'3", 225, 44xl jacket. Bought size XL. The shirt was long enough in the body and arms and not too baggy, although the arms were tight and constricting as there is no spandex-like material there, thus no stretch. I tried this on next to skin and within moments, I felt itchiness on my arms. I assumed because wool is first in the material description that it would be dominant. Nope. It's only 26% wool and I can't tell where it's located. It goes back.

Check out the white. That is a single color block.

But other than that, only these 3 variants are available.

runs small...

By:

Very good quality, warm, overall a great purchase, but buyer beware it runs one size small. I usually wear a good medium and ordered a large(b/c I read a warning like this one) and it is a perfect fit!

This shirt runs small because it's meant to be used as a base layer for its warmth and wicking capability. I usually wear a large in outer wear and purchased the large based on reviews such as this one. The large is a little baggy for a base layer. I should have gone with a medium for a snug fit. Yes it seems the shirt runs small, but as a baselayer, it should be close to the skin, not loose fitting. A wicking baselayer can't wick moisture away from your skin if it isn't in contact with your skin.

awesome baselayer

By:
December 6, 2009

One of the best I have worn. Keeps me dry and warm, certainly wicks better than capaleine I used to wear for ski touring. Never felt wet on the way up and therefore much warmer on the way down hill. Bought an XL I am 6'2 190 pounds, have plenty of room in the arms and body. If I was a bit more fit, I would buy the L for a real athletic baselayer fit.
