They are made in Asia. Mammut only makes ropes, webbing/slings, some boots and their avalanche transceivers in Switzerland.

Mammut quality

By:
January 6, 2011

As often with Mammut, you're dealing with quality here with a nice mix of wool and polyester. Keeps you toasty as expected, with enough room and flex for movement.
Only - potential - complaint is that the fit does not seem that tight, more of a loose, old school, not that athletic fit. I'm 6'2, 180 and the large is the perfect length but a little too wide for my liking. Maybe it's just me. Bottom-line, it's a solid product that could benefit from trying it on.

Mountaineering in Mammut's all-year

By:
November 16, 2010

Climbing Iztaccihuatl in Mexico.
Wearing the all-year T and the all-year pants.
Great base layer, keeps you dry, warm and comfortable. Too bad it smells like a Mammut after only 2 days.

Great fit and fabric.

Bought the top and bottoms of the all-year base layer. Super nice fit and love the mix of fabrics. The right material in the right spot. Love the way they dry fast and seem to not have the stink factor of polyester I guess due to the Merino Wool content.

Not sure about the sizing for these pant/underwear...do they

Not sure about the sizing for these pant/underwear...do they run true to size. I wear a 48 in the pants, or usually a men's med...but should I buy a large??

Hey man I don't have these but I do have some mammut tights and they are pretty true. The are a little long but that's just goes over the hiking socks. I'm super happy with mine and I'm going to buy a pair of these soon.

Flawless

I have multiple pairs of base layers. These are all around the best (lightweight) bottoms, in regards to functionality. If you want pure comfort, 100% Merino has the leg up. But since I, like most of you, am an active person, these are perfection. The three different materials provide exactly what is needed, where it is needed. And thanks to the sewn in Silver, you can take them off after a day of ice-climbing and not gag because of your stank!
They don't make them better than these!

This Mammut Alpine Underwear is killer. It is a blend of merino wool and synthetic micro fiber. Get the top as well its great. There are three different materials used in the right places. quick drying in areas needed and more warmth in ares that get cold faster. Just about the best base layer I've used.
