From the base of a mountain to the peak, weather conditions can shift from temperate to nasty. Maloja designed the Manfred M. Jacket to offer the protection you need for changing conditions, along with the technical features to keep you comfortable.
Due to its aerobic demands, mountain biking shells require not only water and wind-proofing, but breathability as well. Maloja uses its Storm Shell fabric, a knitted polyester fabric with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. This combination blocks rain and driving winds, while remaining breathable to allow perspiration to escape.
Mountain biking also requires shifting around the bike to gain better traction and avoid obstacles, so Maloja made sure its Storm Shell fabric is nice and stretchy to allow ample freedom of movement when riding. That same movement can expose skin to the elements if the garment's cut isn't optimized for the riding position. You'll find the Maloja's ergonomic shape and articulated sleeves to offer complete coverage when in the saddle or standing on the pedals.
Maloja tops the ManfredM. off with a hood for added coverage and an auto locking zipper to prevent the zip from migrating when riding. The Maloja ManfredM. Jacket is available in Moonless, and sizes Small through X-Large.
