Poor performance and handling

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought a few of these a while back and end up selling them due to the poor ergonomics. The springs on the gates are super stiff, so the clips are not smooth and you have to really push the rope in. Maybe that softens up with more use, but I've never had to do that with any other carabiners, so poor design regardless. The basket for the rope on the clipping end is also very shallow and nearly flat, so you have very little space between your finger and the gate for the rope to go in to when you clip. I routinely would have the rope getting caught under the bottom of the gate due to my finger getting in the way when clipping, which is not good. This does not happen with any other carabiners I have ever used, even tiny carabiners like Neutrinos, Nano 22s, and Trango phases. Couple that with the price that is barely any cheaper (or even slightly more expensive) than many other far superior quickdraws, these are not worth the purchase. Get Petzl Djinns or the BD HotForge hybrids for the same price and those are miles better than these.
