Mad Rock Flash Climbing Shoe - Men's

Here's one shoe (well, a pair of shoes, actually) that can do it all. The Mad Rock Men’s Flash Climbing Shoe is technical enough for competition and comfortable enough for multi-pitch climbs. The TPR rubber twin strap closures make getting in and out easy and fit adjustments a breeze, and its medium-stiff midsole gives you the control, flex, and versatility you need to climb when, where, and how you want.

Bottom Line: More climb, less whine.

For beginners and far beyond

I have had these shoes for about a year and a half. For my first 6 months of climbing I was only an occasional weekend climber, but in the last year I have really begun to climb more frequently and try some harder routes. I started on 5.7 climbs and just finished my first 5.12 yesterday in these shoes. So Im pretty sure you won't have a problem with "out-climbing" the shoe. I have easily climbed cracks, slabs, smeared, and beasted some pretty aggressive bouldering problems with the Flash.

These shoes have stretched about a half size since I've owned them. Get a size that fits tight and get rockin', you wont regret buying these.

These are not only great for beginners, but also a very nice shoe for seasoned climbers. Easy on and off and great to use for bouldering and in the gym.

How does these size compare to Evolv Defy?

Have tried Evolv Defy and the right size for me in that model is 9. Should I stick to 9 or try half size up/down?

Great beginning shoe. Very comfortable and grips the rock well! The two strap system is easy on and easy off which is great. Overall a great buy for the price.

Good first shoe!

I just started rock climbing and i feel these shoes were a good choice. They feel good and grip the rock pretty well. I'm mostly slab climbing right now and they work out just fine. For how cheap they are can't beat it as a starter shoe!
