bad ass watch

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size
  • Height: 6'4"
    Weight: 250 lbs

this is a bad ass watch ... all black with the characteristic LumiNox "glow worms" around the dial. The glow gizmo at 12 o'clock on the rotating bezel is amber and the rest are yellow green. I can see everything super clearly at night.

No bells and whistles - just time and date. It's quite heavy being all metal - not uncomfortably so, but a friend has the navy seal version which is made of synthetics and there is a noticeable difference in feel.

the crystal has held up nicely through a month of daily use and some pretty good weekend warrior activity. Graphic on the back side is sweet. Odd that there is no serial number on the watch though ....

The metal band is really nice in appearance, but its a bit hard to get dialed in size-wise. Took a good half hour at a jewelry store to get it right. There's also a funky "double release" mechanism that allows the band to expand more fully for easier on and off. It works, but it also adds a bit of thickness to the clasp.

Overall I really like it - only gripe is that it takes a few iterations adjusting the band to get it right. But the good news is that the band has a lot of adjustment points so there's plenty of ways to get it just exactly perfect.
