Lowe Alpine Rush 25 Pack - 1500cu in - 2008 BCS
Available Colors / Styles
With mesh side pockets, removable bottle mesh pockets on the harness, and a front pocket for quick hydration-system refills, the Lowe Alpine Rush 25 Pack promotes easy liquid consumption. Hydrate or die, as the saying goes. You might wonder, if I have a water bladder, why would I need so many water bottle pockets? So you can stash snacks, sunscreen, trail maps, a cell phone, and other items within easy reach—even the hip-belt on the Rush 25 Pack has pockets. Despite all these stash-areas, this Lowe Alpine pack is lightweight.
Bottom Line: Lowe Alpine's Rush 25 Pack keeps water, snacks, and maps within reach.

I've had this pack for almost four years now and I love it. I have no major complaints about this pack, it's perfect for day hikes, travel, but where this pack really excels, in my opinion, is rock climbing. The top loading feature of this pack makes it easy to use a "rope tote" as we call it sometimes, and/or also a great pack to throw all your sport climbing gear into. Where this pack didn't work out for me was for school; but, this pack isn't designed for that kind of use. Even at that, it still works well for hauling books, but my laptop as difficult to get in and out and the top load (for this kind of use) was a disadvantage for that situation. The only general issue I had with this pack is the lack of pockets (though the waist belt pockets are very handy!). Overall, great pack.
Great pack!

I tried this pack out today on a short 7 mile day hike. It was great! Somebody had given me a Camelbak hydration reservoir a couple years ago but I never used it because I've never had a pack that was hydration compatible. It worked quite well with this pack. I guess I wish it had a better system to hold the tube of the hydration pack, like maybe some sort of a loop on the top of the shoulder strap or something, but that's really a minor thing. I like all the compression straps on this pack because I didn't have a lot of stuff to carry so I cinched everything up small and it was nice and compact. The pack didn't slide or move around on my back at all. I like that the water bottle holders on the shoulder straps are removable (I removed them today). The pockets on the waist strap are very handy! I'm sure I'll be using this pack for years to come. I love the green color too.
Change me.

I bought this backpack to replace my old Vaude Rock Ultralight 25. I only have two complaints. #1 - The opening is annoyingly small. #2 - The foam back more...
