The Lowe Alpine Fall Line 35 Backpack holds just the right amount of gear for a half-day backcountry tour if you pack conservatively or a full-day if you go light. Its molded back panel and fully adjustable shoulder straps ensure comfort during your approach and mobility during the descent. Lowe Alpine gave the Fall Line 35 Backpack ski and snowboard carry options. A goggle pocket and avalanche pocket keep backcountry essentials well organized and easily accessible.
Bottom Line: Pack the Lowe Alpine Fall Line 35 Backpack and poach some backcountry freshies.
I bought this pack last year and used it on a multi-day trip in Colorado. I used it to pack layers of clothing, along with a hydration bladder. It worked great! One of the best features about this pack is the ability to compress the contents and snug everything tight to your back.
Ok, obviously that is manufacturer defect, also 1 year through BC. Did you send to BC? NO. What I am getting at is it is ONLY manufacturer defect, not wear and tear aka. user abuse. Man, if you sent it back, why ask, through the vendor it is...what is written in the product description is for the retailer. Hey have fun with your "lifetime warranty pack".
Bryan - Where does it say "Manufacturer Warranty: 1 Year " on the Lowe Alpine website - Where does BC.Com get "Manufacturer Warranty: 1 Year " I have had to send a pack back to Lowe Alpine with a busted zipper - they sent me a brand knew one - no questions asked - And yes i had the pack for at least 2 or more years. And as far as REI and OR........ "LIFETIME"
Read the second part of the response. It is at the discretion of the dealer, BC.com, to say how long they will honor that. After that it is left up to Lowe Alpine itself...you would have to deal with them. Plus, if you read that to begin with, and believed it, why the question?!
It is not like REI...Lowe Alpine has a policy like OR. Good luck!
Where does it say lifetime? It only says warrantied against manufacturer defects,
"The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents or misuse, nor does it cover the natural breakdown of materials which occur over extended use and time. (e.g. zipper failure or fabric abrasion)."
This is not lifetime.
"If it is defective, you have certain statutory rights with the store who sold the product to you."
And this quote confirms that it is at the discretion of the retailer.
I've used this pack for the past two winters for some BC action with my skis. For someone who's pretty short the diagonal ski carry still made it easy for me to hike with my skis. I have also used it at the resorts to haul my skis across the parking lots. I can fit my boots in the pack, plus all my essential gear. Awesome pack with lots of cool features and lots of room!

The Fall Line 35 specs on the Lowe Alpine site say it fits a range of 16 to 21 inch torso lengths. This is achieved by adjusting the length of the shoulder straps, effectively lengthening or shortening the torso lenght of the pack. While your 21 inch torso is at the extreme of the range, this pack should fit you just fine. I've used this particular pack for backcountry skiing and it is a great pack.
I bought this pack for skiing, but have used it all year round. It has been the toughest pack I have ever owned and is by far the most comfortable. The back adjustment feature lets me lend it out or just modify for me in different conditions.
