Very short break in period. Spent a week hiking in the Bridger-Teton National Park in Wyoming and was the only person at the end of the trip with out blisters. Very comfortable boot when hiking with heavy backpacks.
Some reviewers have indicated that this shoe runs a bit small,
Some reviewers have indicated that this shoe runs a bit small, as much as a 1/2 size small; and that it runs narrow. Please comment. I'm planning on an "on-line" purchase and am not able to try on a pair in the area that I live in.

The boot is not water resistant. It's very good for hot weather use though. As breathable and comfortable as lighter boots, but much more supportive.
I'm in between sizes with one foot 12.25", the other 12.5", so I usually get a 13. The size 12 Jannu fits me perfectly, so I would say they run a 1/2 size large.
I liked it enough to get a second pair for the future.
One boot can't do it all...well. Get a full leather or Gore-Tex lined if you need water resistance.

Excellent boot. I didn't get any blisters and I started hiking with them right away in the Uinta mountains in Utah with a heavy pack on. As with any boot, I would recommend insoles (my favorite are Superfeet) but otherwise they are solid, supportive, and very comfortable boots. My only complaint is that one of the lace hooks broke after about a month of use but this site sent me a new pair for free.
