Rugged protection with a softer flex your feet will thank you for.
- Nubuck leather upper is rigid enough to protect your ankle in loose, variable terrain and maintains a level of flexible freedom that won't beat you up on the long trail
- A soft and smooth leather lining is air permeable and aided by ventilation panels that allow hot air and moisture to move away from your foot
- Vibram Tactis outsole grips a variety of surfaces to give you steady footing and has a slight flexibility crafted to move with your foot for long-wear comfort
- A full nylon shank provides additional lateral support so you can side-step through rock gardens and narrow trails without fear of rolling an ankle

give em the boot
Good boots! Bought them for my brother as he was on the Appalachian Trail. He wore out his old Lowa Baltoros. He said he put these on out of the box and had no blisters or rough spots. I might try these next time I need boots.
Amazing backpacking boots.
The leather glove liner is buttery soft and breathes very well.
Regarding the size, they run a bit on the wide side, but run true to length.
Only two minor complaints is the cheap insole, which I removed.
And the Vibram soles seemed to wear very quickly on the tread under the toe.
All in all, these are great boots that are still made in Germany with the craftsmen ship of how boots USED to be made.
