The Mondo Evo Bib Shorts are some of the most technical pieces of apparel offered by Louis Garneau. Mondo Evos incorporate three high-tech fabrics to pull the greatest possible performance from each component of the bib short. You get all the usual features: ten-panel ergonomic construction, seamless inner thighs, a back pocket, back and bottom reflective logos, and flatlock seams. But the real story here is in the fabric selection.

Mondo Evo Bibs rely on the advanced Cell-Ion Fabric to handle fit and compression. Cell-Ion contains Celliant, the ground-breaking technology that returns reflected energy to the body to trigger increased blood flow and oxygen levels. The result is improved performance, less fatigue, and greater overall comfort. It also has the effect of providing UPF 50-rated protection from UV exposure, which is key on long summer rides where waterproof sunscreen doesn't stand a chance. Cell-Ion is made with 17% stretch material, which is significantly more than most basic knits. And it's not just any stretch material, but premium Invista Lycra, which is the key to the shorts' unlimited range of motion, exceptional return, and compressive, supportive fit that also helps reduce fatigue.

Loius Garneau used Carbon X Mesh panels on the bib and straps, where airflow is essential to performance. The textured mesh won’t stick to your back and creates a cooling zone between your skin and the fabric. This technical fabric also features Resistex carbon fiber for its antistatic properties as well to enhance controlled stretch and sun protection. The Mondo Evo Bib Shorts also incorporate wide Aero Lazer bands at the thighs to hold the hems in place without grippers. This fabric features a high spandex content to support muscles and help the short retain its shape over long periods of frequent use.

The 4Motion chamois features combines 3D preshaped wings with a deep split at the back that is bridged by vented mesh; this not only offers exceptional ventilation, but allows the pad to move with you without bunching. Large, mesh-lined perforations in the front also allow air to circulate. The multi-density, perforated memory foam is ergonomically designed with a central channel that relieves pressure on the urethra during long rides. The seamless, four-way stretch 4Motion chamois features an antibacterial carbon top sheet to control odor, and pre-molded wings to add comfort while protecting against inner-thigh chafing.

The Louis Garneau Mondo Evo Bibs feature a 11.25-inch inseam are available in Black and Black with White trim. It comes in sizes X-Small to XX-Large.

  • Cell-Ion and Lazer Rev fabrics improve airflow over the garment, making you that much faster when it's time to go fast
  • 4Motion insert is highly ventilated, and features multiple densities to keep you comfortable at every stage in the ride

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The Mondo Evo bib is the best bib I have worn! It has excellent fit, quality, and comfort. The Neo Power bibs have been my go-to bibs for the last 4 yrs. The Mondo Evo bib will for sure replace them.

The Mondo's lycra is thinner than the Neo Power but it has more compression. The chamois feels more race as well. My only reservations are durability and washability with the thinner lycra but only time will tell.

excellent bibs - not snug though

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs large
  • Size Bought: XL

done one 50 mile ride so far, but these appear to be excellent - good fit, supportive and good for warm weather rides (Arizona). They run larger than the LG Equipe shorts I have. I am 6'2", 195 lbs, 35" waist and the XL fit well, but I could probably have done with the Large size (no way the large size Equipes would work for me)

update - should have got the large. The XL's fit, but the material gets a bit slack around the thighs (note: I have the Corsa 2 bibs in XL, and they fit good and snug)

if the shoe fits

high compression bibs are great, and these are some of my favorites. They hold their shape and stay tight all season long. If you have massive quads, you might have to go up a size just to fit into them. The first time you put these on you'll wonder if you accidentally grabbed your little sister's shorts.

Love these Bibs

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I want to first off say that I love these bibs. They are super and are second to my Corse kit. The only thing that I don't love is the way they do the leg gripper. With the corse bib you can adjust the gripper manually, however with the Mondo you have to adjust the height of the leg gripper by pulling the shorts up or the gripper will not lay flat. It does not effect the chamois or the compression one bit but it is something to be aware of. All this being said, still one of my favorite pair of bibs

Nice bibs. Great chamois.

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Pros: Well made, good quality, excellent design. Mesh straps won't stick to sweaty skin. Fantastic "4 Motion" chamois features a ventilated insert, a deep perineum channel (this is really important); and thin, ventilated pad in front. White straps won't show under light jerseys. And the ones I received say made in the USA. Nice.

Cons: none (as long as they fit).

Fit: I'm 5'10" 190lbs. The L fit me ok -a little tight because I'm thicker than most fit riders, plus the compression fabric. The XL fit me better.

Great Bib!!!

This is "BY FAR" the best and most comfortable bib I've ever owned (till I bought Assos bibs.) Rode 55 miles on them and felt like I rode 5 miles. The chamois is ridiculously comfortable for long rides. Since I just purchased them and only ridden twice, the 55 mile and a 30 mile ride I'll write a follow up review within a year to advise on how they hold up.

Follow up review; I've been wearing this bib 6 months now, I highly recommend them due to excellent compression and comfort on long rides. I've ridden a couple of centuries since last review, and feel this bib comes second only to my Assos T FI.Millie_s5. My only issue with this bib is how the leg gripper rolls up your leg, but would still buy again with no regrets.

best bibs

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I love these. Compression is great without being restrictive, Chamois is very comfortable, and the split/vented rear of the chamois is really comfortable (I thought it was a gimmick - it's not). I use them for mtb and road, and these bibs are great for both.

The best

I have Craft, PI elite and pro and LG Equipe bib shorts. The LG Mondo are the best by far. I have had them for over a year. They have been washed a minimum of 20 times and still holding up fine. The logo is wearing off, but the fit is still the same. I'm 5'11" and 220lbs. I like a good compression, so I bought the large size. They are pricey, so I will only buy them when there is another deal. If you can afford them, go for it.

    I love it !

Wore this bib out on a few rides and man is it comfortable. It's light weight and it fits snug with minimal to no adjustments whatsoever. It almost feels like i'm wearing nothing at all except the chamois padding. My review on this bib may be biased as I have not tried any other bib shorts, but all I can say is you get what you pay for. I will update on the durability of this item once I have ran it through the washer a few times and out on a few more runs.

      does this bib run small?
