All warmth, no bulk.
The best way to keep your hands and feet warm on winter rides is to find yourself a good hat to insulate your head. This is harder than it sounds, because you'll want one that fits underneath your helmet comfortably. Garneau's Matrix Hat is perfect for this purpose. It works better than most for two reasons --seamless construction and thin, stretchy Matrix fabric.
Where most winter hats are cut from material that is too bulky, or they simply have poor design (we're thinking funky seams or grafted-on bits of rubber or plastic that serve as irritants at best), the Garneau Matrix Hat is exquisite in its simplicity. It provides just enough insulation to keep your head warm without causing a meltdown when you have to make big efforts on the bike. It also wicks moisture from your scalp so that you can descend without a chill from the sweat buildup of the previous climb. It is Black and is available in one size that fits most.

Dissapears under my helmet
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Love it for cold rides. By cold I mean anything under 45. Over 45 and I'm stopping after a while to pull it off because its simply to much for that temp. Keeps the top of my head and my ears warm, fits nice and tight to my head and only requires loosening my helmet about 2-3 clicks on the adjuster wheel.
