Description

Wherever you feel like riding.

Not every day can be 70 degrees and sunny. Louis Garneau designed the Fit Sensor 2 Shorts to help your body regulate its temperature in chillier weather conditions. You get all the fundamentals here, such as 10 panel ergonomic construction, seamless inner thighs, back and bottom reflective logos, and flatlock seams. But the real story is in the fabric selection.

Fit Sensor fabric is the key to Garneau's cold weather strategy. The nylon outer layer isn't just abrasion-resistant, but keeps out skin-chilling wind. The inner layer of brushed polyester is soft to the touch and wicks moisture away from your skin. The high Lycra content (16%) ensures a comfortable fit and provides muscle support. It also reduces the fatiguing effects of road vibration. Fit Sensor boasts an SPF rating of 50, which is key on long rides where waterproof sunscreen doesn't stand a chance against perspiration. Garneau also incorporated Powerbands at the cuffs to keep the shorts in place.

The Airzone chamois features Beveled Molding Edges that provide a smooth transition from pad to fabric to eliminate pinching and chafing. Garneau also reduced the size of the vents in the chamois, but doubled their numbers. This increases comfort and durability. The seamless, four-way stretch Airzone chamois receives an anti-bacterial treatment to control odor, and pre-molded wings to add comfort while protecting against inner-thigh chafing.

Louis Garneau's Fit Sensor 2 Shorts are available in Black. They come in sizes XS to XXL.

If you want quality, well padded chamois shorts for road biking, then these are the shorts. It is hard to beat Louis Garneau apparel. They come up high enough on the waist to eliminate any possible chance of exposure.

Got these for my dad since he's never had real cycling shorts before and I had talked him into doing a 50 mile charity ride with me. He still felt a little sore towards the end of the ride, but was happy to have some legit gear for future rides. He usually wears a large, got him a large and the fit is great, so I'd say these run true to size.

The chamois of my go-to shorts had worn soft and it was time to replace. Of course, the manufacturer changed those and the reviews of the new ones were mixed so I went with Louie even though they are a bit more. Great compression, great chamois. The waist is a bit high and my belly makes it roll over but that's never uncomfortable during a ride. Get on sale and a great deal. I've since ordered 3 more.

How is the fit? Does it run tight or large....

How is the fit? Does it run tight or large. I'm 5'9" 180 lbs. I'm thinking XL if they run tight. Thank you.

I'm 5-11 and 190 and wear a medium. My weight has fluctuated 170-190 and have always worn mediums no matter what brand.

I am also 5'9" and 190. I wear XL. In slacks I wear a size 36 waist. Took a spill off my bike recently. Slid on a rough road with loose gravel. On my hip and leg had a nice strawberry. The shorts held up without tear. Wearing for a year, every Saturday, 60 miles average. Still in good shape.

Normally I'm a bib man, but got a pair of shorts for shorter rides and commuting. Found these to be the best pair of shorts I've ever had. They have great compression, a good feel to them, and surprisingly the chamois seems to stay where it needs to on my rides. The fabric is incredible and seems very high quality. These should prove to be great shorts for training, and shorter rides around town. I would definitely buy these again.
