Description

Go ahead and ride till you've worn through.

The prospect of wearing through your grundle while participating in the RAAM won’t help your pre-race psyche. Lucky for you Louis Garneau added the magical Crabyon fabric to their supportive chamois in the Equipe Bib Short. It not only offers support for those super-long rides like the RAAM, it may even accelerate wound healing.

  • A perfect blend of nylon, polyester, and Lycra allow Fit Sensor to resist abrasion, wick perspiration, and support muscles for long-distance cycling comfort
  • With perforated gel inserts and varying thickness foam, the AirGel chamois dampens vibration while offering support and relief to key areas
  • The AirGel Chamois also features healing Crabyon fabric and an antimicrobial treatment for chafe-free, long-ride comfort
  • Lycra Power offers compression to reduce muscle vibration for less fatigue during vigorous exercise

Love these bibs.
I have 32in waist so ordered the small according to the chart. At first I thought they were to small. But I pulled them on any way. extremely tight fit around the legs, but normal fit through the crotch and waist. Love the compression, especially on longish MTB rides, 50 plus miles. definitely helps keep my legs feeling fresh.
I've had them for about 3 months no signs wear yet, seem very well constructed, the chamois is good not to thick or thin and stays put like a second skin.
Buy these bibs on sale and be happy.
like me. ;))

About me: I typically do 30-60 miles of riding at a time in variable weather (45-100F) several times a week

These have been a welcome addition to my cycling gear. They fit tight (or a little small), but I am a typical medium or a small and I bought medium and I love them. So if you fit on the border,I recommend buying the size up.

The chamois sits well for the entire distance of the ride. I don't overheat nor freeze my behind off with the material. I'd recommend these to anyone looking for a new pair of bibs!

The shorts are great, although on the smaller size. I suggest getting a size bigger than your actual measurement. I had to order the Large size. Great support and padding, as well as over all design

Snug short, which I like.. but it doesn't make you feel too restricted. The padding is the best I've ever had in a cycling short.

I am 5'9" ~150 lbs and the small fits me well.

Loved them so much, I ordered another pair.

tried these out on a couple of shorter rides and so far impressed. Bought for the chamois rating and the compression. Both are good IMO. Straps are not binding and the legs do not ride up. Only thing I found is they seem to run a size smaller than some of the other bibs I have and had to return and reorder a size up-

Great bib short, even on 100+ mile rides. Might get another pair. Snug at first, but you get use to it and like it.

I am 6'2" and 195. The XL fits well.

Was happy to see the way the seams up front were designed, but unfortunately the zero flex caused my junk a ton of trouble even after a couple of rides and lots of "manual adjustments". I have wide hips so this may have led to it being to tight up front, and either creating to much compression up front or sliding everything down into my chamois on standing climbs. Other than that, the rest of the construction was fantastic. Great compression in legs, well designed back and straps, and cuffs on legs were nice and tight without being constricting.
My feeling is that these will not stretch (solid construction) and my helpful RS chat guy agreed that going to a large would throw the rest of the exception fit off just for the crotch give.

Trying out the Castelli Velocissimo Due Bib Short based on my chat feedback.

RS customer service rocks and made the switch painless (even if my nethers unfortunately didn't get through it so easy).

Own Sugoi RS and RSE's. Also Pearl Izumi Pro's. Like those but these fit better and have a better chamois. Hold up well with many washings. I wear a large. 5' 10" 33 waist. 34" inseam. 163lbs.

Is the fabric on the sides of the legs...

Is the fabric on the sides of the legs thinner so that it is a bit see through? I really don't like shorts that even a little see through, but there may be those out there that do, just wondering.

The legs are not see-through. The color on the legs is a lighter shade (charcoal grey) compared to the rest of the bibs. Also, that same section has a white inner color.
