The safest helmet in the world isn't too sweet if it'll boil your brain inside your skull. If we're going by the number of vents, Louis Garneau's Diamond II Helmet is the airiest helm on the market, with a whopping forty (40!) vents to suck in ludicrous amounts of air to cool down your whirring cerebellum. To squeeze in this much cooling power, Garneau needed to come up with some shiny new technology, and boy did they. While the Diamond II is built with a fairly classic in-mold polycarbonate construction, which melds the foam and the shell for increased protection, it has other features that set it apart from most other dome protectors. The Super MSB frame works like a lightweight one-piece exoskeleton, while nine carbon-fiber bridge inserts and additional plastic EXO inserts provide extra structure and strength that belie the Diamond II's feathery weight. Garneau's Evacuation Channels are specifically designed to pull air and moisture from the front of your head to the back for increased cooling, and the X-Static XT2 antimicrobial padding wicks moisture away from your noggin and provides a comfortable feel on your head. A rubber-coated Spiderlock Pro II dial adjuster lets you dial in the perfect fit while you're on the go, and the Diamond II's reflective details make sure you stand out on the road.
