There's no question that riding in gloves beats riding without, but often they make your already hot hands even hotter. This isn't true for the Louis Garneau Course glove. Treated with Coldblack heat-reflective material, the Course glove has the same effect as holding your hand in the shade while you ride.
The first thing you'll notice when you slip the Course Glove onto your hand is the small hook-and-loop fastening strap on the underside of the wrist. This prevents the irritation caused when your wrist is bent back, rubbing the strap. We also found it easier to get the fit right with the fastening strap in this position. Garneau's patented 5-channel Ergo Air concept promotes airflow through the glove to move warm air and moisture out and bring cool air in. The system pulls sweat vapor out of the glove to keep your hand cool and dry. The back of the glove, made of Lycra fiber, also promotes ventilation through the glove to cool your hand down. The highly absorbent thumb panel is perfect when you need to quickly dab a sweaty brow.
The palm of the Course Glove is made with seamless Clarino, a durable synthetic leather that provides excellent grip and dexterity. The seamless, multi-density padding relieves pressure on the ulnar and median nerves to eliminate numbness. It also soaks up shock and road vibration that can cause fatigue. A Coldblack finish reflect heat rather than absorbs it. This keeps your hand cooler for added comfort.
As a nice final touch, the Garneau Course Glove has a refinement that we wish came on all half-finger gloves–a pull tab that eases entry and exit. The Louis Garneau Course Glove comes in sizes S through XXL and is available in Black/red.
