Great tri top

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small

Love this tri top, looking to order another one. I'm 5'4" and usually wear a small but I bought a medium. It is a tri top so it is going to fit tight. Great for hot weather! The top didn't ride up while running.

Leaves little to the imagination...

It's thin and great for hot rides. The pockets are not very deep, though; my Droid doesn't feel snug, but my Gu gels do. If you're at all worried about bulges, rolls or bumps showing, I wouldn't recommend it. :) I'm a busty 5'5" and went with a medium. I agree with other reviewers that it's better for those with shorter torsos.

    Too short

I'm 5'9 and it was way too short even in XL - kinda bummed because I liked the material and color but I don't like getting my lower back burned while I'm out riding so it has to go back. People with short torso's should take advantage of this deal though!

Nice Looking Shirt, just doesn't work on me

I am 5'4" and usually wear a size 4 clothing. I ordered a size medium in this tank because I struggle with belly bulge after 3 babies and didn't want a skin tight tank. The medium is actually a little too loose for a triathlon fit for me, I should have ordered a small for more compression and fit. Being too large, the tank rides up on my belly and just accentuates my bulge! Just while trying on this tank, I was constantly pulling it down to reposition it. The length of the shirt is pretty average on length as it is not one of the longer tri tanks. It does not go down on the hips but hits at waistline. Colors are pretty (I got the flash blue) and the fabric is thin, as most tri tanks are. Seems like nice quality, but just doesn't fit right on my body type.

        Not so much

Was very excited to receive this, since I was searching high and low for a racer back tank top with back pockets and found this nice-looking one on sale... only to find that when i tried it on, it was ridiculously short. I would avoid, especially for those with long torsos, if you like your shirts long and your stomachs covered.

I have this, too, and to echo everyone...

I have this, too, and to echo everyone else, it is short. I am 5'10" and normally buy tall/log swim tops. This felt fine on my first ride with it, but it's more uncomfortable just standing in it. Does anyone know if all Louis Garneau tops run on the short side?

Pretty much. Some ladies say that some of them (the few mtn. bike jerseys might be somewhat longer/roomier); but my experience has been they are a bit on the shorter side, and I am 5'6".

I prefer Giordana, give that line a try, but steer clear of the "tank" tops...seems they always run shorter than any other type of jersey, in all brands, in general. That's just been my experience.

Also, check size charts on, compare the two, and look at product on both sites before you purchase next time.

Hope this Helps for your future purchases.

Does this have a shelf bra and is it sturdy...

Does this have a shelf bra and is it sturdy for running? I am not big chested but like support for my girls.

If it doesn't state that it has a shelf-bra, then it probable doesn't. Don't know if that would be enough support for running, anyway...stress can build-up over time, and possible back & shoulder pain, even with moderate bra sizes. Why chance it. Get a good sports bra for running.
