Travails of my search for the perfect running sock

First the good things about these: They definitely do the job, they wick sweat so I don't blister, they are really cheap so I don't break the bank, and they are a perfect height so my shoes doesn't rub my achilles.
As a neutral point, they are really thin. This in itself isn't bad, I have other thin running socks I like (but my others are too low, see good points, above) but they feel like you're wearing nylon stockings and they stick to your foot and slip in the shoe.
For the price you're getting a pretty good deal and I'll definitely wear them out, but I wouldn't buy any more.

Great socks. Did a 10k last week around Lum's Pond in DE. Comfy. Forgot I was even wearing socks. Then wore them on a half marathon street run in brand new New Balance sneaks and they were great.
