The Lorpen X-Treme Bike and Trail Running Modal socks provide natural comfort and an extended lifespan. Moda is a natural fiber, which - combined with a healthy dose of Lycra - resists abrasion and maintains the sock's shape. This prevents shifting and bunching in your shoe, and also provides support to your foot. Lorpen's flat toe seam reduces mass to prevent blisters and irritiation. Polyamide reinforcements increase the abrasion resistance in key areas like the heel and ball of the foot to ensure you'll wear your X-Tremes for an extremely long time.
I absolutely love these socks. They are the perfect thickness and they wear really well. I wear them everyday--even to church (unless my wife catches me). I've got about 10 pair of these socks and they work awesome for running, trail running, cycling and everything in between.
i had used what i had considered the 'best' running sock for years, thorlo's cushioned running sock, and they had finally worn out after 5 years...so i got these just to pad out an order and get the free shipping, planning to get thorlos locally...well, i'm afraid thorlo, as good as they are, lost a customer...these socks are the perfect height, low, but above the ankle, aNd they sTaY uP! even though they don't have the thickness of the thorlo, i think i like a thinner sock for street/sidewalk running (which is where i run)...however, i'm 185, 6' and have back issues that require nike air shoes and a cushioned sock...well, these are thinner than thorlos, but remarkably they have a nice cushion to them...i really love them...i've only run in winter with them, but they feel like they have a nice breathability, guess i'll know next spring

Best socks I own - I mountain bike and trail run in them - they're not worn looking, they don't smell (I even left them wet and muddy in a bag for 2 months and they washed up clean and nice). They completely cover your ankles so you look retro tough.
These are some of the best socks I've ever owned! They seem to have just the right amount of cushion but they're not hot at all! They're a little taller than an old school defeet cycling sock but not too tall. They have great support over the entire food. I bought four pair and will buy plenty more as time goes one! Highly Recommended!
Good fitting sock - I appreciate the 3/4 height - good for trail running and mountain biking. Have only worn them a few times - will update this after 6 months of wear.
EXCELLENT. Comfy, smooth, doesn't bind in the toe, perfect wicking, great snug fit that doesn't cut off circulation, and the height is perfect for use with a boot (often times on trail, either running in trail shoes or hiking in boots, the socks are just a wee bit short - not these). I also like the weight, which is cool in the warmer months and warm enough at about the freezing point. And stylish, because it's all about being fancy on trail.
I have no idea what this modal fabric is but it works awesome. Not quite a thin enough sock for the summer but it wicks moisture well and works great up to like 80 degrees hiking and climbing! I love Lorpen, this is my fourth pair, I am never going back. I highly recommend their ski socks too!
Love these socks! I trail/road run often and am very pleased with these. Good stretch, very light and breathable. The cut of the sock, just above ankle, is ideal for bike/run/hike shoe use. The price is also pleasing compared to other brands, what a deal.
In my mind, this ultra-thin runner stands apart from other socks thanks to its unusually accommodating fit and subsequent functional comfort. The stocking's beauty is in its virtual transparency: It manages moisture and temperature so well that you hardly know you have it on. I think that deserves a five-star gear rating in anybodys book. The relatively low price is just icing on the cake!
