Wow, these are awesome

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Updating my wardrobe and got a lot of merino stuff, love the fabric and saw these on sale. Can't believe they are only $4/pr! It seems like the top is a little looser (ie breathable/less sweaty) knit and the bottom has a bit more cushion. They are not so thick that I can't wear them with my normal ballet flats (if a little uncool). Did a couple gym workouts so far, again thin enough to use w/my Merrell barefoot type shoes, a little cushion is comfortable and my feet were not sweaty like usual! Also they are black which is how gym socks should be. Definitely coming with me on RTW trip next year.

comfy running socks

I tend to eat socks, so no idea how these wear except that they've lasted a week which cant be said for some socks. But they are some of the softest, but still nimble, running socks I've owned. Rarely do I put on a running sock and want to just wear the sock. And I can get a couple runs in before the merino wool starts to stink.

Mr. Perfect

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

When it comes to a functional, high quality product, my wife calls me "Mr. Perfect"for a reason: I am picky AND expect perfection. This merino two-pack, IMHO, cannot be beat for the price. I give it 4.5 stars factoring in all aspects, including price. Only sock better, albeit twice the price, that I wear is the Icebreaker GT mini bike sock (it's a 5 star sock). This Lorpen is made in Mexico for those wondering. Happy shopping.

Comfy

I love the comfort which is important but they seem loose compared to other wool socks I have. I would like to have more snug fitting socks

They have more cushion then synthetic socks and are very thin on top to keep them cool while running. I have used these on many trail runs in the PNW and highly recommend them over synthetic socks in moderate temps.

Great socks, great price

I got some of these on SAC, and was very impressed with them. My feet stay comfortable when I'm running even when I a mess with sweat. I ordered a couple more packs from Backcountry because I liked them so much. Now I don't have any more room in my sock drawer...
