I wear a size 7-7.5 and my calves are on the larger side.
The Med were much too long for my feet.
And while the design on the upper part of the sock is cute, the embroidery limited the amount the socks could stretch, so I couldn't even pull them on over my calves.
I guess I'm also spoiled by my other pairs of ski socks which have the increased cushioning on the shins (Smart wool) which help protect from the ski boots. These are just regular knee high wool socks, nothing that makes them skiing specific.

I ordered the women's medium, which was sized at 7-11, and I am an 8.5, but they were too long in the toe, and had to return them.
Change me.
