The Lorpen S.S.M. Ski Sock combines the thin fiber of natural silk with the soft moisture-wicking fibers of Merino wool to create an extra-thin sock that maintains warmth and comfort in tight-fitting ski boots. Extra padding at the front of the shin adds a touch of protection from shin rub and bang. Lycra blended throughout the sock helps the S.S.M. maintain its shape and not stretch out—even after a full season of wear. Lorpen's extra-flat toe seam reduces bulk and friction, so your tootsies stay happy all day.

I like these socks because they are so thin and lightweight and yet they keep my feet warmer than my bulkier wool/synthetics socks. The silk layer is soft and nice next to my skin.

I purchaced these socks thinking it would keep my feet warm. On the contrary, I think my regular every day socks worked just as well or better. Not worth the investment.

Very good fit, excellent stitching around the toes to avoid bulk, stretchy, and warm. They never slide down on the calves, and do not pack up anywhere. A little cold when the temperature is -19C (-2.2F), but that is OK. I would easily buy these again.
