Does the job, but for cheap!

I bought these for my "all-mountain" setup (whatever all-mountain means nowadays). For the price paid, I am quite happy! I give it 4 stars because of the functionality/price portion.

They keep your boots connected to your skis. Mission accomplished. If you're looking for high end bindings, then you aren't paying this little.

great power transfer and sharp looks

Put these on the wife's Czar's earlier this season and they've been great, the green/blue/white color looks great with the green accents on the Czar's and the XXL brake fits the ski perfectly. The bindings have a wide enough base to give great power transfer and while they don't offer as much knee protection as the FKS/Pivot bindings they still have a really nice and consistent elastic release and are more than adequate for the average all mountain skier.

I got these to go on a pair of Rossi Sickle skis and a pair of full tilt boots. They are a sturdy binding and I haven't popped out once yet. After a full season (30+ days) they still look to be in good shape. The only problem I have with them is stepping out of them, with the high release lever (not sure what the technical name is) on the back it makes it really hard to step on one while the ski is still on the I usually have to use a pole to pop the first boot out, and it takes two hands worth of pressure to do that...overall a solid binding that I would consider buying again.

Trustworthy binding

Good bindings for the money. Have a had a few glitches with them but mainly due to frozen snow. You do have to be aware of the "dildo" as I've landed super backseat and gotten it to the upper thigh. Also if your really tall as I am, pay attention when getting on short lift chairs as it's gotten caught up on the bottom of the chair however I have had that problem with other bindings. Over all a great reliable binding!

Decent, but a step below the Pivot/FKS

I've had a few pairs of the PX12's over the years, and they're a great binding. They can definitely take a beating, but I still managed to rip a few brakes off on switch landings. They're a great binding, but if you want something really durable and safer for your knees, I would recommend going up to their big brother the Look Pivot/Rossignol FKS. However, for intermediate freestyle skiing and regular resort riding, these are great bindings.

Was short on time

    Bought at the last minute so matched up kendo skis with these binding. They clamp in nice and hold the boot well. But hard to get out of but I will get use to it. So far holding up well. But they are over a pound heavier than most bindings. Other those flaws they are a good binding.

    I got these in Blue\green to put on a pair of Atomic Supreme skis for my wife, they feel really solid and seem to be great bindings, the colors went really well with the skis too, they really look cool IMO. All in all they have been great and as usual the service and delivery from backcountry was awesome. My only complaint is that it took me a couple mins to figure out the DIN scale, at first glance the numbers are all over the place, I had to count off the marks and then it all made sense.

    Another brake question. I have a pair of Keepers (119mm waist) that I am looking to mount these on. Does Look offer a wider brake or would I just have to bend/form the XXL brakes to fit?

    I've never mounted my own bindings before so I'll probably take these to a shop. I want to put the wide (100mm) break on 107mm Gotama ski. Do you think I will have trouble finding a shop that will do that? Or, should I just go with the XXL (115mm) break?

    As long as you go to a shop that is certified with Rossi/Look, then there will be no problem mounting that binding to any ski. I would definitely recommend doing that to get it right and have the binding system tested. There will probably be some rubbing with the wide (100)- they can bend that brake to accommodate that Gotama, but it might be easier to just go with the XXL.

    That said, you can always buy/find brakes separately, they are super easy to change out! That Look PX is SUPER common amongst shops that rent/demo/sell Rossignol/Dynastar so it would not be difficult to find a bigger or smaller pair of brakes if you absolutely had to.

    Which should I get for a the Salomon Rocker2s (108 waist width)? The "Wide" and bend them out or just go with the XXL. I feel like bending them 8mm might be too much.

    Honestly you could go either way but 8mm is reaching the point to where it takes a pretty good tweak or bend to make the brake work and some shops won't take it that far.

    To be safe go for the 115, the rocker 2 isn't exactly a big time carver and you won't notice the extra width on powder days. Only time it would come into play is if you are trying to really tip the ski up on firm groomed snow and possibly drag the brake. Only you know how much the ski will be used in this situation.

    I'm not sure why the BC person would have suggested the XXL, wide 100mm brake is perfect.

    I'm going to pass on giving advice for the mounting position, I'm not familiar enough with Black Diamond skis to offer good advice.

    Try re-submitting a new question on the black Diamond verdict page or call Backcountry or some other ski shops that carry them.

    I just bought a pair of Rossi S7's that have a 115mm waist. Will the XXL have large enough brakes or do I need to look at the more expensive look bindings?

    The XXL brakes on these should work for the 115mm waist skis, although it will be a tight fit. If needed you can get away with bending the breaks out slightly.

    That won't work for big size differences but where your ski waists are also 115 these brakes will work for those skis.

    How would these be on Liberty Helix's?...

    How would these be on Liberty Helix's? Helix's are 105mm waist, I suppose I'll have to go with the 115mm?
