The Look PX 12 Lifter WB Ski Bindings weigh in at just 5.8lb per pair, and come with wide brakes that fit your fatties. With a DIN range of 3.5-12, this binding works for anyone from progressing skiers to aggressive experts. The 6mm of rise under the toe piece and 6.5mm under the heelpiece add leverage to aid rolling on to an edge, especially when mounted on fat skis. The PX 12's suspended heelpiece provides more lateral support and decreases the amount of energy lost between the boot and the ski, which means you get improved performance without exerting any extra energy. This binding also features elastic travel that delivers shock and vibration absorption while guaranteeing a timely release during a fall.
I just bought the 09 fatypus alottas 140 underfoot and its super hard to find a binding with a brake that will fit this ski does anybody have any suggestions
If you're looking for a solid binding that won't put your bank account in a headlock, look no further.
I have these mounted on my Head Monster 88s, which is a big mountain ski designed to rip pow, crud & trees. The Look provides a good middleware between you & your fat boards.
The wide brake fit my 88 millimeter waist with no modification required.

Just got a pair of new 07-08 Liberty Hazmats 181s on the cheap. And I have multiple issues in selecting a binding. First, I'm 6'1-6'2, 200lbs and a expert skier after 5 days in the mountains (live in the icy hills of MN). I do mostly on-piste freeriding; covering anything in-bounds. Will these bindings hold up for me? I may huck some 20 footers, but nothing larger. Also, which px12? whats the advantage of the lifter over the jib? With my height and weight should I go for the Ti?Finally, I'll be getting smaller boots next season & possibly selling these skis for a longer pair in the next year or two. Do the Look bindings adjust for boot sizes enough to accommodate my 325mm shell/29.5 mondo boots & a 28.5 boot when I get it? and possibly a 27 if I sell them?weew. i'm done.THX for the quick response. What is the difference between the px 12 & the px 12 Ti? what parts are Ti?
The Ti definitely lasts a lot longer in my opinion, and holds a little tighter. They do adjust a little, never had to move them that much though, but if they don't remounting is fairly cheap at any shop. They hold really good on tons of crazy hucks, and will definitely hold up to some 20 footers. The lifter has a small "lift" under the heel piece, making power transfer a little better for forward carves, but makes switch riding a little harder. The jib also has a little more lateral play in the heelpiece before ejection, maybe 5mm. If switch isn't your thing, and freeriding is, then I say that this is a great binding. If you are a little wary of the hold, upgrade to the Look PX 15 FS WB like I did, almost the same as this PX 12, with a little less lift, and a higher DIN range. The Ti has a little more metal in the toe and heel piece, and metal inserts in the mounting plates, nothing super different though.
Do these bindings work on any ski or just on wide body skis?I have a regular old pair of k2 twin tips that I need to upgrade the bindings on was wondering if these would work.
These have a 100mm brake, which is pretty wide for a normal K2 twin, which I'm guessing is only about 85mm. There wouldn't be any functional problem with this, but when the skis are base-to-base, the bindings won't be able to hold them together, at least not tightly. Look for the regular PX 12, if that is an issue with you.
These bindings are great as far as a basic binding goes. I had these mounted on my Liberty KGB skis (all mountain twin) and have beat them up pretty bad all over the mountain. No durability issues, no release problems, and they're in good enough shape that I'm putting them on my new scott missions for a third season of use.
On the groomers, in the park, in the pow, no problems anywhere.
I received a pair of Dynastar sc 10 express skis 2nd hand. The skis are 4 or 5 years old? I bought a pair of px12 bindings online, and the holes didn't line up on the rear binding with the auto drive plate on the skis. My wife informed me that the invoice said nx12. If the wrong binding was shipped, would the nx12 not have worked? My question is, are the mounting holes different between the nx12 and px12? If so I need to get some px12 bindings ASAP. Thanks for your help.....
Ok Nx 12 and px is like rossignols axium binding and axial 2 binding now they play where the screws go in should be the same for both bindings and also i would suggest going to a ski shop and getting you px 12 bindings put on professionaly with usually you cant put the bindings back in the holes they were in but unless theres a lifter plate with the holes in it i dont know what to tell you but im going to strongly suggest to go to a ski shop if you have theres not much i can say sorry hope you solve your problem.
The lift is about 6mm, you don't notice it at all when you ski , but it is ment to help you carve wider skis easier.I have the PX 12 jib and I find it to be about 4 mm.
