The Look PX 12 Lifter Alpine Binding's DIN rating expands from 3 to a burly 12, making this binding ideal for those ready to turn up their performance and rock. PX technology uses springs in the heelplate to create a booster effect for awesome rebound as you come out of turns. The Full Drive toe piece releases multi-directionally—protecting your knee and ankle joints when a ski gets hung up behind a mogul or when you take a hard fall. The Look PX 12's titanium and composite material construction provides high performance power transmission and lightweight agility.

I have skied many different makes and models of bindings and this is my first choice (look or rossi). I feel locked to my skis, excellent edge response and I never pre-eject. I have these bindings (the new ones and the older version) on a couple pairs of skis and I only come out when it really matters (which is what I want). I weigh 145lbs, expert skier and I only set the DIN at 8 and have never felt the need to crank it up like I do on markers.
I have worked as a tech in ski shops and ski 5-6 days a week. I check my bindings every other time I go out but I almost don't need to with these as they are the standard for consistency.

I bought the PX12 with wide brake system and was very disappointed at my first run at jackson hole. After just ten turns both heel plates broke and left me stranded. if you need a bomber binding i would look elsewhere.
