Whether you're ripping through Class IV rapids or taking a leisurely paddle about the lake on a Sunday morning, certain safety measures must be taken. You and your paddling pals must wear appropriate PFDs (okay Mom), and having at least one rescue rope on board is just common sense. When you have the Liquidlogic Kayaks Speed Loader 75ft Throw Bag in your boat,
you won't waste valuable rescue time restuffing the sack if your first throw
missed the mark. This innovative throwbag uses a burly rope and a wide-mouthed
bag design to make the toss simple and the stuffing even easier.
The 3/8-inch thick MFP rope sports reflective tracers in case your rescue
efforts take place under the cover of darkness. Thick and sturdy, the rope
sports a bit of heft, which helps your toss get some distance without straying
off your mark. The three-leaf engineering of the polyurethane bag alternates
durable PU with mesh to help water drain from the bag as well as speed drying
time. Additionally, this design allows the bag to have a wide-open mouth and
collapse quickly into a tight package. The gaping mouth makes reloading really
simple and incredibly quick.
When you've finished practicing or your drenched friend is safely on dry land,
feed the rope back into the bag, and cinch the top drawstring closed. Squish
out excess air with the compression strap, and then stow the buckled bag in the
water bottle holder in front of you (or behind your seat).
