Pump the Liquidlogic Remix 79 Kayak through big-volume rivers or float through technical creeks. This boat was shaped with the help of instructors and dedicated river rats who know a thing or two about paddling. Extra width at the ends adds the volume needed to stay on the surface through washy drops and updated, modern chine edges cut through the water like a hot knife through butter. Experienced paddlers and eager learners alike will find the Bad Ass Outfitting easy-as-pie to fit and comfy on the butt after a long day getting drenched.

  • Combination of the long hull platform (smooth glides through your eddy turns and peel-outs), rounded sidewall (great secondary stability and bracing), and modern chine placement all create a stable, fast, responsive boat that turns on a dime and rolls like a champ
  • Extra width at the ends provides reassuring stability in big water
  • High rocker in bow to go over big waves and land larger boofs
  • Easily adjustable plastic backband and thigh braces make customizing the Remix quick and efficient
  • Aircraft-grade aluminum bar handles are great for carrying the boat and sturdy enough to use in rescues
  • Adjustable flat bulkhead for good foot placement

I plan to paddle everything in this boat

I received my Remix 79 last week and I have paddled it nearly every day since. I live in Bend OR where we have year round class 4 and class five right in town on the Deschutes River. I have been paddling a Stomper 90 for the last year (a great boat) but wanted something a little faster and something that I could enjoy in class 2-3 while I'm teaching my girlfriend to kayak. This boat has been a lot of fun everywhere I've been so far and it is REALLY fast. On (river house) our local winter time class 4 run this boat has been more fun than all of the other boats that I have paddled. I'm stoked about this boat and will be using it on everything but the mankyest. I will recommend that anyone purchasing one of these remove the seat to ensure that your boat came with solid metal seat slugs(what the seat screw fastens to). My boat came with the old plastic and brass slugs and was not useable as those slugs pull apart as soon as the seat screws are tightened. I stole the slugs from my Stomper for now and emailed LiquidLogic. They sent me the new parts no charge straight away.

I plan to paddle everything in this boat

I am 5'10" and about 200 naked, and interested in class 3/4 tops at this point. I'm an MX intermediate moving to white white water kayak, do I want a Remix 69 or 79?

At 200lb you're right at the lower limit of the 79 and close to the upper limit of the 69. Since you'll be gaining some weight fully geared up, I'd go for the 79. You'll sit higher in the water which will increase your downriver speed and allow you to punch through bigger stuff.

I wouldn't worry too much about sacrificing control with a bigger boat either - the Remix is incredibly nimble and forgiving, regardless of size.
