According to Liquid Logic the Jefe Kayak is the most popular creek boats ever produced. Given the buttery-smooth handling, rapid-eating bow design and ultra-comfortable cockpit, we can see how that would happen. And at the heart of the matter is the truth that kayaking is still about navigating fast-moving rivers peppered with rocks and rapids, and this boat was shaped specifically to address that soulful experience. Find a big-volume beast of a backyard winder, toss this creeker into the mix and soon enough you'll be wearing that permagrin you remember from the first time you truly learned what boating was about.

  • Aggressive rocker profile and added volume at the bow gobble up big rapids and help this boat pop up quickly after the occasional, washy drop
  • Full, rounded bow charges through boils and stays on the surface easily
  • Soft chines and added width at the hips provide stability and increase control when you need to make quick transitions
  • Bad Ass Outfitting uses an easily adjustable, padded backband and thigh braces make customizing the Jefe quick and efficient
  • Quick-draining mesh offers padding in the seat and quickly dies should the inside of your cockpit take on water
  • Liquid Logic commissioned climbing gear manufacturer Black Diamond to create the hard metal grab handles that offer superior reliability in rescue situations

Killer creeker

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

The jefe was the first modern creeker i owned, and it's performed incredibly on whatever i've taken it on. Big water, creeking, waterfall hucking, you name it. Plus, it lets everyone know you're "the boss"

Sick Nasty Boofage

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I love this boat, Takes a little time to get used to no edges but once you get the hang of it its great! Boofs like mad.

Sweet POV shot Troy! Looks like an awesome boat to get out and play with :)

Liquid Logic Jefe Chico

Great creek boat! Boofs off everything. My only problem is that it is not as quick making turns as I would like and I have a harder time rolling it without padding it out majorly. Very comfy badass outfitting and overall I have loved owning this boat!

Erika, I am new to the kayaking and have only gone a few times. The one thing I know I want is a kayak that will be used on fast rivers with some white water. I am 5' 4" and weigh 130 lbs. I like the fast turning and maneuvering and the speed also. what do you recommend?

Sorry its been so long that I haven't responded. If you haven't gotten a boat yet I would recommend a river runner or play boat for bigger rivers. You will learn to roll quicker and have more agility on rivers and if there are any play waves you can learn to surf. Something like the Wavesport EZ or Jackson Fun would be a good starting boat for you.
