Line answers the call of advanced park skiers who want a stiffer ride with the Stepup Freestyle Ski. The Stepup utilizes Line's Skate Deck construction, which is a 7-ply maple veneer layup for a smooth, symmetrical flex. Then line adds two carbon Ollieband stringers for more pop and stiffness without adding weight. The icing is the symmetrical geometry and centered stance for true twip-tip freestyle performance.

  • Base and edge are twice the thickness of a standard ski for extreme durability and impact resistance
  • Skate Deck construction adds stiffness and durability
  • Symmetric flex at the tip and tail for predictable handling whether riding forward or switch
  • True twin-tip geometry for the same feeling riding forward or switch

Bottom Line: A stiffy with added pop.

yeah, go for the afterbang 155 or possibly an even shorter ski. even though it is a softer ski, the afterbang still holds up pretty well on all but the biggest jumps.

Too heavy

These skis were poppy and fun. I rode them about 5 days. Mostly pipe at Park City, a little through the jump line. Overall these skis were just too heavy for my taste. If Line could build a ski that was fun/responsive like this but weighed about half as much it'd be much appreciated.

I'm 5'7", 150lbs, very aggressive skier. Into park skiing primarily, maybe hit some groomers occasionally to give the knees a break. What length would you recommend? I'm thinking the 177's, but not sure.

This is a very fun ski, for the first few days. I have used these for around 7-10 days now and they have become noticeably softer and less stable on bigger jumps. I have also seen that an edge has started to delaminate, and one of the edges has been bashed in, and I do not know how it happened. My bottom line is that this is a good ski, if you are a park rat and do not weigh enough to destroy your skis.
