Line Prophet 90 Ski - 2009 BCS

I have been snowboarding for 4 seasons and looking now to buy ski's. I am looking for a ski that can do everything. I live on east so be riding in those conditions. I am 5'11, 180 lbs. I have only skied once before several years ago but picked it up quicker then boarding. I was thinking the Line Prophet 90, Line Flite, or Solomon Lord. What size should I go for? Any recommendations? Thanks. I dont not want to buy entry level skis cause I know I will move through those quickly and be looking for something else.

I am female, 6 feet, 140 lbs., a fairly aggressive skier who primarily spends her time on the east coast with 2-3 west coast weekends a year. I want a more aggressive, responsive ski for the east coast conditions. I was deciding between the Line Prophet Flite in 172 or the K2 Missdemeanor in 169 (tallest they make then). What do you think? I don't do park skiing but like steep blacks slopes, some backcountry, trees and powder when I can find it. I currently ski an old Atomic 170 and I think they are old, turn slow, and are stiff. Any suggestions on my new ski picks? I'm trying to decide ASAP.

I am looking for a first pair of skis, just started skiing this season (southern Pennsylvania so nothing special but good to learn on) and have been out 5 times slowly transitioning to longer and longer skis (I learned on 130s and have worked up to 150s and plan on going bigger next time) enjoying the ever increasing combination of speed and stability. I am planning a trip to Vermont in the coming weeks and looking to purchase a ski and binding to buy before that trip that will allow me to have fun now but grow into and not get bored with in the coming years (I did try a a few jumps at the terrain park last night and that was fun as well though definitely not the current focus of my skiing). Is this a good ski for my level and needs (and if so what length and width for me at 5'9" 185 lbs.?) and if not what else should I be looking at?

I'm 5'8" - 160 lbs. Ski mostly in the east (20 days or so) w 1 trip out west a year. 50% groomers, 25% trees /bump, 25% pow. I have had 78mm skis in the past (Head Chip 78 @ 165) and want a more versatile ski for crud, and some pow.

I'm looking at the Line Prophet 90 (172 length), Atomic Snoop, Volkl Mantra (170). I am an advanced skier, ski fast and hard and need stability but very interested in more versatility.

Which would be the best for me?

Want to get some P90's. Questions about length. I'm 5'11" 190lbs, 31 yrs old. I currently ski 165 Dynastar race ski's b/c i liked the carving, stability and tight edge.

In this ski I'm looking for quick turns, good edge and stability, all mountain. Have not done much glade skiing, skis can't handle it, but would like to. So I don't want too long of a ski that I can't take in trees and turn quick.

Should I go with 165 or 172. 165 might give me similar handling to what I"m used to, but with the twin tip taking up some space, maybe 172 is good.. I know there are alot of folks that are coming down in size even into the 150's b/c of the technology and better turning ability in shorter skis...

Thoughts....

Any of you guys really compared the Prophet 90 to the Salomon Lord? I ski Obsethed's and Mantra's everyday all over the place from crud, firmpack, deep powder, to major bumps. Looking for something narrower and quicker to make it easier on my 38 year old knees(using up my number of bumps quick). I ski both my wide skis faster, stronger, and quicker than most guys on skinny sticks through the bumps but it does take a toll after awhile. I don't want to give up the crud busting and overall fun of the other skis but just know the fun of skinnier more supple sticks than my mantra's. Obsethed are very supple but just fat. Prophet 90, Salomon Lord, Salomon new Tornado Ti or other carvers, Line Flite, Volkl Bridge, Rossi Phantoms, etc...any other thoughts out there?

I am 6'9"tall I weight 270. Is thier any ski company i should look into that makes the longest skis? I am looking for an all mountain as ill be on groomed trails 80% of the time.

Just took delivery of P-90'S. Ordered 172 got 179. Still unsure if I should return. I'm 49--170.5 lbs 5'9"--cautious expert who likes to go out of bounds when available. Ski East mostly-go west once a year. What size is corrrect?

Length question: Do these ski short or long. I am 5'11" and 185. Can I go with the 179 or do I need the 186. I will take them all over the mountain. Also how about pairing these with the marker Griffons?

Any recommendations on size for 5'6", 130 lb intermediate/advanced skier?

Has anything changed on these prophet 90s since 08-09 version other than the graphics?

What are the recommended bindings for the puppies? I am 5'10, 180 lbs semi-aggressive all mtn expert skier. No park..everything else though. Thx

What is the flex like on this ski? Is it similar to the K2 Extreme? I'm looking for something with fairly soft flex like the Extreme, but something in the 90mm range underfoot. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Anyone know if there is any change in the Prophet 90 from 08/09 to 09/10 other than the graphics?
