they'll be good for everywhere on the mountain, but you might want powder baskets for deep powder.

It's a simple pole, aluminum shaft and a skinny grip. It's lightweight and the skinny handle is awesome! (Why didn't someone think of that earlier?) The pole strap seems like it's kind of twisted (like a seatbelt that has that twist in it you can't get rid of), but that's not really something I'm too concerned with. Definitely worth the money.
