Line asked big mountain skiers what their dream ski would be like, and invariably, the answer came back that it would be a ski fat enough to handle deep powder skiing and also have the ability to rail turns on hardpack and ice. Line listened, and came up with the latest version of the Mothership. Designers discovered that 111mm was the magic waist width to hold an edge on any hard snow condition, while maintaining flotation in powder. Then, they added an early rise tip to increase flotation even more. A huge turn radius is ideal for guys and girls who are into bombing huge pieces of real estate in one turn (or less), and the Maple Macroblock construction makes the Mothership lightweight, stiff, and super durable.
- Base and edge are twice the thickness of a standard ski for extreme durability and impact resistance
- ABS sidewalls dampen vibration
- Maple Macroblock Core for light weight, durability and long lasting camber
- G-Cut five radius sidecut provides powerful turns with less tail hooking
- Titanium Metal Matrix die cut laminate adds power where you need it and reduces weight where you don't
Bottom Line: Love your mother.

Ok 3rd season now on these and I truly can not fault these skis. They rip on anything and everything. The slight rocker in the front and trad through the rest of the ski coupled with it stiffness make for a plank that holds in hard pack and ice like a 90 width ski and as deep as you like at the other side of the spectrum. Even gone as far as to make my 185's my backcountry skis with Marker Dukes (yeah it is a heavy package...but only when on ya back!!) and a set of 195's for the on piste stuff. I love em big and these things just eat it up with as much as I can feed them and rip, flow and slash, drop lines and are rock solid anywhere. Skied many many skis in my life on snow and these take the cake.
Change me.

RIP Mothership
I've already reviewed these elsewhere, so this is a lament on the passing of this amazing ski. Line have stopped producing them for the 11/12 season more...
cruizey yet quick
Have only used these in New Zealand. This ski is overkill for the (lack of) snow there. But they were easy to turn and surprisingly carvey, so I had more more...
