Details

Tastier than kale and flax seed.

Imagine dropping your entire quiver of skis into an industrial-strength blender and hitting the blend button, and the well-balanced smoothie that came out would be the Line Blend Ski. This tasty concoction is one part all-mountain shredder and two parts freeride slayer, with a distinct aftertaste of park and pipe prowess. The Maple Macroblock core consists of two strong and powerful maple stringers complemented by light and poppy aspen to give you the power to point it straight out of chutes and the nimbleness to pivot through trees. The early-rise tip and 100mm waist help you float through deep blower and cruise over chopped crud like it's not even there. When it's time to lay things on edge, the traditional underfoot camber and underfoot sidewalls keep your turns powerful and precise, but the hybrid Capwall construction makes sure the Blend stays plenty playful in the park, too.

To eliminate the chatter associated with tip rocker, the Blend's been outfitted with Line's ThinTip technology, which reduces the weight of the tip to dampen vibration for a smoother, more consistent ride and easier turn initiation. It also rocks a fully symmetrical flex pattern for easy, predictable switch riding, and Line's signature 5-Cut, which uses different sidecuts along the length of the ski for smooth turns of all shapes and sizes. It's tough, too, with Fatty base and edges that that can take seasons of abuse without disintegrating.

The perfect all around ski

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

My friend recently bought a pair of these, and had some comments about them!

"I've been riding the same pair of skis my entire life, from when I started 7 years ago to a few weeks ago. I thought it was ABOUT TIME I upgraded, so in my endeavor to find a pair worthy to surpass its predecessors I started to watch as many ski videos on the youtubes as possible. My choice had to incorporate that I looked "cool" as I was skiing, so watching the Line videos was a given; as those guys are "cool". I also needed my skis to be all-mountain, but also powder, but also park, but also a street ski and also a pipe ski. Naturally the versatile Line Blends came into focus and I purchased them, took them out that very day, and skied the best run I've ever had. I hit every part of the mountain those coming days; park, pipe and powder. Needless to say, I felt very cool."

The pivot binding has not been great to me . I would be ok with the marker jester 110 mm?
