Description

10% lighter and tastier than the previous Blend.

True ski connoisseurs know when they have tasted the perfect blend, and the new Line Blend Ski is just that. Full bodied and robust with a maple and aspen core, aromatic lift in the Early Rise rocker, and a subtle hint of Thintip technology to keep it light, this ski is sure to stimulate and please the senses. Brew without boredom on any day, in any conditions.

  • The Early Rise rocker begins its ascent early so you float like a swimmer in the Dead Sea—effortlessly
  • A Maplelite Macro Block core positions solid maple underfoot and aspen in the tip and tail, reducing swing weight while keeping the burl where you need it
  • The 5 CUT radius utilizes five different sizes throughout the ski, allowing you to take your turns how you like them
  • Thintip tech shaves the core in the tip and tail to reduce weight by 100g a pair, significantly cutting down on tip bounce and swing weight
  • Capwall construction features a cap on top and sidewall down the edges so you can have your cake and eat it too
  • Symmetric Flex on both ends of the ski allows you to crush lines forwards and backwards
  • The thicker Fatty Base&Edge ensures that the Blend feels just as comfy stomping rails in the park as it does sweeping down fresh bowls

So i just bought these in a 171cm length off backcountry for this season and the thin tip just cracked on me. Could be fluke or it could be a design flaw im not really sure but i will have to send them back. Other than this these skis were great! they were solid underfoot, flexible in the tip and tail which made for great butters and excelent carving through the crud. I had these mounted at -2cm from true center (about 2cm ahead of midsole). I recommend that these be mounted at midsole (-4cm aprox..) or at least at -3cm from true center. I weigh 145lbs and powder was a bit of a challenge at -2cm. These were super light and nimble for fat(ish) skis. Great park ski that can handle powder to. These have been great on jumps, rails, boxes, and the swing weight is perrrrrrrfect. The only thing i would change about these is maybe a sharper turning radius. At a hair less than 20m,it is hard to carve a sharp turn without sliding the tails out. Probably not a good ski for an old timer that rides with his feet touching eachother. Otherwise they are tons of fun and provided they dont crack, i would have given them 4.5 stars! DO NOT CENTER MOUNT THESE. if you think you can handle pow at center, YOUR WRONG! I also recomend that anyone over 150lbs gets the 178cm. jusssst my opinion. Happy Skiing :D Two planks are better than one!!

Which would be better for a one ski quiver, the Line Blend or the Line Prophet 98? I would be skiing Utah (main area), Idaho, and Oregon. I ski all mountain but park is probably what I ski the least.

The Prophet is going to charge the crud better, the blend is going to be more playfull, and float in the powder. If you're big mtn style, go prophet, if you jib a bit more go with the blend. There are a ton of good skis like these this year....
