You're not looking to bring an operating table and a bone-saw with you to base camp, but you would like a comprehensive kit that'll take care of swelling, cuts, and stings, and that'll help prevent infection. Pack the Lifeline Base Camp First Aid Kit. The Base Camp Kit's first-aid booklet helps in case your outdoor doctoring knowledge goes out the window at the first sight of blood. An instant cold compress, tweezers, scissors, plenty of different-sized bandages and gauze pads, antibiotic ointments, and ibuprofen tablets help with minor injuries. Vinyl gloves let you take care of your buddy's cuts without making him sign an I-won't-infect-you-with-a-blood-disease affidavit first.

Bottom Line: Don't let an infected cut ruin your ascent.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

Good Base Kit

By:

As the description says, this kit is great for a base kit, or just to keep in the trunk. Has lots of bandages, lots of supplies, and all the basics. While not for extended trips, or high-impact activities because of it's limited supply, this kit is great for a starter kit on a trip. The supplies I got with mine were all top-of-the line. The bag is great and keep dust and dirt away from the supplies, and there was even room to add stuff in.
