Life-Link designers endowed the carbon AC/BC Ski Pole with Quick Cam grips that allow you to easily transform your poles into an avalanche probe if the need should arise. Any sized pair weighs in at only 18 ounces so you won’t be weighed down on a long tour. Life-Link included trekking and powder baskets to meet all your needs in the backcountry.

Bottom Line: Strong, lightweight, and highly adaptable.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

What is the diameter of the touring baskets? I need some small baskets for icy conditions so the pow baskets don't snap.

Life-Link ac/bc Ski Poles

This is these are the best poles i've ever had, and i've had many. I've worn out 2 previous pairs of ac/bc poles; and the new ones i've just purchased is my third pair. I'm thinking of buying an extra pair in case they stop making them!!

Is this an Alpine skiing pole? How do you adjust the length, the description do not tell me and the picture doesn't show it either? I am thinking about the 45 inch model and what is the usable length, is it 45" to 54"?

Skip, like Jamie said there is only about 2" of adjustment. When the grips are removed the two poles screw together to make a single probe. I am 5'-9 and use the 47" length with no issues. The probe is quick and easy to assemble, just make sure you know where you dropped your grips. For that reason I only use them as a backup probe.

Write your answer here... This pole has an adjustment of about 2" from 45 - 47 probably. The handle has a lever lock and you can position the shaft at several different spots in the handle. More for custom fitting than changes from hiking to skiing. the integrated probe works well. I have had several pair and am going to buy another
