Description

Fatties have all the fun.

Fully rockered in the tip and tail with 141mm underfoot, the Liberty Genome Ski plays harder and faster than any of those less girthy sticks. A slight camber underfoot allows the Genome to be surprisingly nimble on the hardpack while the handmade Bamboo Backbone core keeps the weight down. One epic powder day on the Genome and you'll understand why fatties have all the fun.

  • Liberty's Bomb Rocker is fully rockered in the tip and tail for maximum float with slight camber underfoot for bite on the hardpack
  • The handmade Bamboo Backbone core is lightweight, strong, and eco-friendly
  • Fiber Reinforced Polymer mats under the binding area provide rigidity and better screw retention
  • The Quadaxial Glass fiberglass weave gives the ski incredible torsional rigidity and easy longitudinal flex
  • Proven sandwich laminate construction boosts performance and durability
  • The 78-degree UHMW sidewalls provide increased edge grip and effortless turning
  • 141mm underfoot provides flotation in the fluff ... obviously
  • The moderate sidecut, twin rocker, and slight underfoot camber allow the Genome to perform like a shorter, stiffer ski on the hardpack
  • The HRC 48 edges feature an extra-wide profile and anchors which increase durability and ensure long life
  • P-Tex 2000 sintered base provides a fast and durable connection to the snow

I cannot agree with you more... took them on a ten day trip from Wolf Creek skiing 5 day old chopped up tree pow to Snowbird where I skied the most variable conditions ever (hardpack, crust, powder, crud) back to Wolf Creek where I skied a 50 inch 3 day storm cycle. They did it ALL and even clocked out at 60mph on a groomer. Super quick in the trees... sometimes I have to remind myself I am skiing a HUGE ski because they turn effortlessly. Quick flick of the heel and the back pivots to scrub speed in tight trees. Cannot recommend these enough!!!

Amazing!!!

I bought this ski last year after the Liberty demo truck came to my hill. To be honest, I was intimidated by a ski this big, and was really just interested in the Double Helix. However, after one run on the DH I had to go work for a bit, and when I came back they were checked out. So I decided to give the big guy a try. Halfway down the first run I was trying to figure out whether I had enough money in the bank, or whether these were going to have to go on my credit card. Obviously, these things slay powder like you wouldn't believe, but what really blew me away was how light and quick they are. I have skis that are 35 mm narrower, yet heavier and slower turning. The rocker and side cut really do work miracles, and the bamboo core is light and lively like you wouldn't believe. I'll even ski park on these a little bit if it's only going to be a few runs and I don't feel like switching skis.
