Description

Just keep the pandas away.

For good luck, click together the Liberty Featherlight Bamboo Poles right before you jump turn and pole plant your way down a crazy-steep, powder-filled chute. Their carbon tubes weigh less than aluminum and feature bamboo wrapping to cut down on vibration and to give the poles a new-retro look.
  • The leather grips and straps comfortably secure the pole while you weave through rocky no-fall zones
  • Powder baskets provide a solid plant no matter how soft the snow
  • Tungsten/carbide tips plunge into the hard stuff when the couloir gets tricky

I love how they look and really like liberty. No problems yet with these pole but don't get to ski a ton.

Snapped like a twig after about month. They are nice and light with a very low swing weight. The grips are leather and on the large side- which is more rare these days. The straps are too thin and because there's a large leather overlay, they flip forward and off your hand occasionally- kind of a hassle. They sure look beautiful- kinda retro. Wish mine hadn't broken- back to aluminum for me.

I FREAKIN LOVE THESE POLES. Totally stoked after I took them out of the box. Here is the low down. They are really light. They look bitchin. Numerous people asked me if I was skiing with antique bamboo poles. The straps are great. Much wider than I am used to but if you ski with your strap as support for you hand when you push down, you will love the straps. Straps are also idiot proof and can be adjusted for lenght with your gloves on. Then there is the handles, they have a nice feel to them with nice bumps for between your fingers and they look retro. OK, yes they are $40 more than most other poles but how often do you really buy poles? My last pair made it 15 years, I'll have these until I can't ski any more. worth it. You won't regret it. They should come with a free WWII bomber jacket and a leather pilot's hat. I'm not letting these babies out of my sight.

These are some sick poles. Super light, real strong, look totally badass. Dunno if they're worth $120, but I got em for about a quarter of that price and am pumped about em. Grips take a little bit of getting used to (they feel shaped awkwardly compared to my old poles), but that's a very, very minor complaint.

Mine snapped like a twig after just a month- grips are a little wonky, the straps are so thin that they twist easily and flip off your hands a little too readily.
