Totally rips everything.

The "TRS" in the Lib Tech TRS XC2-BTX Snowboard stands for Total Ripper Series, and after stepping foot on one you'll understand why. This all-mountain freestyle shred stick kills everything in its path, from powder runs to slushy park laps.

It features the innovative XC2-BTX profile, which has a shorter, but more aggressive rocker zone in the middle, with elongated camber zones running out to the tips. This results in greater power, pop, and control on hardpack without sacrificing float in powder. Magne-Traction edges create seven different points of contact along each edge to help the board slice through ice likes it's fresh corduroy.  A true twin shape and centered stance makes it easier to take off and land switch, whether it's in the park or powder.

Feel good when you drop in knowing that this board was built using sustainable manufacturing techniques and materials. A blend of Power A and Colombian Gold wood in the core makes it strong, snappy, and lightweight, and the wood comes from fast-growing, sustainably harvested trees so you're not contributing to the destruction of the rainforests. Basalt reduces the amount of fiberglass needed without sacrificing strength to give you a better board that's less harmful to the planet.

  • Short rocker between bindings, longer camber at tips
  • Twin shape
  • Magne-Traction edges
  • Basalt and fiberglass lay-up
  • Medium flex
  • Power A and Colombian Gold core
  • TNT extruded base
  • Power Transfer internal sidewalls

One of the best snowboards on the market

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've tried and owned many snowboards and this is the best moderate to aggressive all-mountain free ride and freestyle I've ever ridden or owned. It's poppy on the groomers and carves well thanks to magne-traction. In the longer sizes, it has pretty good float on pow. It's stable and doesn't chatter at high speeds, and I ride at 40-55 mph. It's symmetric and switch riding feels exactly the same. It has easy turn initiation, making it good for moguls or trees, while maintaining its carving power. (This is a rare and highly desirable combination).

What it DOESN'T do is a short list. Being only moderately stiff and with a rockered center, it only has moderate ollie power. It has reasonable float on pow but you'll still have to lean back in deep pow (the only way you won't is with a dedicated powder board). The graphics are uninspiring, top and bottom, but I don't care because I bought the stealth version and will just plaster it with stickers.
