    Still leading the pack.

The do-it-all park board that enjoys an occasional pow day as much as a groomer run, the Lib Tech Skate Banana Original BTX Snowboard is easy for anyone to ride, from average Joe's to top pros, and it loves to shred the park as well as the rest of the mountain. It's already won about a million awards for being awesome, plus it's built by some of the most Eco-conscious board builders anywhere. So whether you spend your days in icy parks or powdery trees, the Skate Banana will make sure you're having fun while you're there.

The Skate Banana is built on Lib's BTX rocker profile, which features rocker between the bindings, while the tip and tail have the slightest bit of camber to maintain pop and stability. The result is a loose, catch free ride that gives you enough pressure at the ends to charge hard. It gets better with Magne-Traction edges, which place seven strategic bumps along the edges. The bumps are bigger between the feet, which concentrates most of the grip there for a ride feeling that's more like a skateboard and less like standing on some old timer's skis. Plus it's a true twin for unrestricted switch shredding.

The Aspen and Colombian Gold core uses fast-growing, sustainably harvested wood from south of the border for a board that's light, and snappy. Birch internal sidewalls crank up the durability, and they're buffered by UHMW sintered sidewalls for tough impact-resistance and extra speed. Best of all, you can rest easy knowing that your snowboard was built with eco-friendly materials by snowboarders with jobs.

    Great Board

Flexible and easy to learn new tricks and advance riding styles. This board carves effortlessly it bites on turns like no other and it's fast. Also, the Magne-Traction offers knife-like grip in even icy conditions! I can't recommend this board enough.

      Awesome!!!

So I have had my Skate Banana for over a year now. I have ridden it on the east coast (ice coast), and the west coast. First things first this board is super soft, and playful. With that being said i think it really shines in the park. I also found that the deck rips pretty well all over the mountain as well, but if your looking for a strictly all mountain board this probably won't be the deck for you. This was my first board with magnatraction and i loved it! Especially riding in the east coast where we are constantly battling ice having multiple contact points is such an advantage. Another plus is this board makes it super hard to catch an edge, which makes it super fun for learning slow butters, and working on spinning onto jibs.I have also taken this board out in the pow, and the rocker does a great job keeping it afloat, and that soft feel allows a lot of control. My end review is this board is great for any rider who loves slow butters, finding natural hit, and of course loves ripping park laps. It has such a soft playful feel you can't help but playing around on this deck! Please feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email if you want to chat about this board!

      Awesome!!!

      Timeless

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I road this board till I killed it. And I killed it by blowing out an edge early season in a pow field that had a hidden boulder.( one of many)
But before that this board lasted me a few seasons. I usually ride anywhere from 60-90 days a year on my decks and this board lasted through them all. The Magne-Traction really helps on those ice days when you need a few more contact points. I road this board in the powder as well as pack groomers. It was great for buttering around on the snow and even jibbing through the park.

I wold say the recommended use is perfect for this board.. it really is a jack of all trades kind of deck. I loved it the most in the powder though.

This was one of the biggest size decks I have road. I landed with the 156 (5'4, and 145 lbs). I know what you are thinking.. that's too big of a board for such a small gal, but it was my big mountain pow board and I'm a pretty aggressive rider.
The nice thing about it since it had the rocker, is it felt smaller than it really was but when I needed the length at high speeds, it was there.

Keep in mind having something that has rocker it it does give you a bit looser of a feeling when riding but as long as you dont mind a skate like feel, you'll be golden.

      I personally loved this board.
In the end, I had it repaired by a master but sadly since the damage of so extensive it just doesn't ride the same. BUT I still have it :)
