I am 5'9" 200lbs and I am cruiser. I don't do tricks or jumps. I just want the great board to go down the mountain. What size board and what kind of board should I buy.

Responded on

If you are looking to cruise I would get a 159-162 based off your height. If you buy a reversed camber board you can go a couple inches smaller because the reverse camber will be like riding a board a couple inches bigger.

You gotta keep your nose up in 22 inches of pow pow!

It ain't easy being cheezy....but with this board it's super easy keeping your nose out of all the wonderful delicious pow pow!!!

hi there, im 6'1 and have a size 12 boot, and im 85kg (190 lbs), do i NEED a wide? i like the longer boards, i wanna get a 159, but there are no wide's left, unless i buy a new one for 30% more. how much wider are the wides compared to the normals? or could i get a 156?

Responded on

Hey Dude,
For a size 12 boot i would go with a wider board, why because catching an edge isn't a worry but massive toe or heel overhang can be a pain in the park or on groomers. I have a good buddy thats a 13 boot size and he swears by the 156 wide skate banana. As for the size of the board if you normally ride a 159 I've been told that with alternate camber boards you wanna go up to 8cm smaller than what you'd ride with a traditional camber board. I hope this helps with you're decision dude:)

hey, i'm 6 ft weighing 155 and have size 10 boot size. I was wondering if going with a wide board would be a good idea and what size bindings would be good to go with it. Thanks

Responded on

No need for a wide I've been riding Lib for years and have last years sk8te banana in a 154cm and i'm 5'10 170lbs with size 10 1/2 boots and I'm fine dude. Wide is just extra board to slow you down!

yo first off the board is great next it does matter what size your boot is but either way if you weigh 180 and your that tall i would tell you get the 159 or bigger and based on your boot(11+)get the wide

Hey guys! I'm looking at buying a skate banana and I'm not sure what size to go for?? I'm 6'3" @ 203lbs with size uk 11 boots. What would be best a 156wide or 159wide???
Cheers

Responded on

depends on what your going for the 56 would be a trick board for sure .. if you like park and tricks hit that up. but your 59 will be a more all mountain board. hope that helps

Responded on

definitely the 159, a person 6'1 or over shouldn't be riding anything less than a 159 160 type....at smallest

im mostly in the backcountry should i go for the banana or the travis rice c2 power banana

Responded on

Thw C2 will definately hold up better than the Bannana. The Bannana is a good all-around board, but compared to the C2, still lacks in the back country a tad. The C2 will power through anything you throw at it in the back country, and you can still rip it all over. But the Bannana is softer and will allow for more flex as you ride, and is mainly a park driven board. When you go from the Bannana to the C2, you will prob find the Bannana to be a lil washy in comparison. Both are sick, now its just up to you to decide what you really want. Hope this helps bro

Hi i am about to buy one of these awesome boards in its unique design in this banana-color, but the only question is which size... i am about 6 feet tall and about 174pounds and have boot size 10. I am used to ride 162, well last winter i switched down to 159. It's hard to say which size i should take, and if i need a wide board, I am looking at the 156 and 159 what do you guys mean? I have a pretty straight way to mount the bingings, almost 0 Angle so i need enough space on the board (i'm sure you know what duckstance means :)) pls help, i want to have one of these as soon as possible!

i have a 152 banana and last season, i had Burton customs on it, and i hated the setup. Im looking for the best setup, what would be the perfect binding/board set up?

Responded on

If you ride mostly park then go for a pair of Union Contacts with maybe a bannana(reverse camber) or maybe a Ride Kink(if you dont want a reverse camber). If you do all-mountain, then go for a pair of Union Forces or Datas mixed with a Ride Crush(reverse camber) or a Ride DH2(no reverse camber). But if you are looking for a extremely solid line of binders, definately go Union. Thats the only company I will lock myself into. Hope this helps

..I am thinking about getting one of the new 2011 skate banana's coming out this year and am wondering if I will be able to ride a 152 with burton cartels and size 11 burton invaders ..

I ride with a duck stance at about 15 / -15 and my stance width about 21" ..

any help would be very much appreciated! thank you so much guys!

Responded on

you should be ok, make sure your bindings are properly centered and you shouldn't get much if any toe drag

Oliver, I have been riding a Burton X8 155 EST with a 24.8 waist and I have a size 12 foot. I have never had any toe/heel drag and I ride 6/-3. You should be good to go but I would not go any smaller than that bro. Board safe!

Hey I'm a girl and 5'11 bout 130lbs what size would you recommend? 152 or 149? Beginner for boarding but skied since I was 3, mainly powder, but intend to be in the park as well, Thanks so much!

Responded on

Either is good, the 152 will give you more speed, as you 'll sink less in the snow, the 149 more maneuverability. Good Luck!

Well this deck is suuuper good in both worlds. You could rock a 148 all the way up to a 153 if you really wanted to. Personally I would tell you to get closer to the 150 area, but its all personal preference. Some like a bigger deck and others like a smaller one. I ride mainly park so I like to get the smallest deck I can without sacraficing stability(I ride a 154w and am 6' 170lbs) And aslong as you weigh under 150lbs, you will be fine on anything around that area. Hope this helps :)
