Skate Banana BTX Snowboard - Assorted Bananas

The word is out about Lib Tech’s Skate Banana BTX Snowboard—the insanely fun ride that rips everywhere from park to pow was tough to keep secret. The only issue was that every other dude on the hill had the exact same board—a minor problem Lib addressed by releasing the Assorted Bananas version in a variety of mind-bending colors!

  • Banana Tech features rocker between your feet and a flat tip and tail for a jibby, catch-free ride that still rips in the pow
  • H-Pop core uses a variety of lightweight woods for ollie power and durability
  • Magne-Traction edges add five contact points for extra control and turning power in all snow conditions
  • Sintered base helps you chase down your friends during on-hill games of tag
  • Soft flex between your feet, with a stiffer tip and tail improve pop and edge control
  • Sorry, we can't pick a specific color for you out of the warehouse - but they're all awesome!

Bottom Line: The game-changing all-mountain jib stick, now with extra mysteriousness.

Turn the entire Mountain into your Playground

The Banana was my first reverse camber board. So I really didn't know what to expect. The board is sick. No more catching edges, easy to press and it makes buttering simple. Everyone loves this board especially the bastard kid who stole mine last year! Definitely an excellent buy! Would have bought another but went with the Lib Tech Dark Series.

I ride this board on powder days because of the Reverse camber and it works great! I've also taken it into the park a few times and have been happy with it! I see this board all over the mountain and everyone who I've talked to who rides this board loves it!

Hi, Im 6'1" and 145lbs with a size 9.5 boot. Im more of an all mountain rider but like to hit the park every once in a while. I usually ride a 158cm, but would a 156 be to small?

58 should be the perfect size for you, especially if you do more all mt riding. I would only do 56 if majority of your riding is done in the park. the 58 will be a little more "stable" during warp speed down the hill, then again, it's BTX so it's not gonna be that stable to start with. Lib makes GREAT boards, cant' go wrong with either size.

Sooo fun! Get One

By:

Wow, what a fun board!!! I agree it does kind of suck you can't choose the color/style you want. Luckily I got red/blue/black which isn't bad and was my 2nd choice. I was hoping for the orange/blue/black. Oh well!

This is a great board to add to your collection. Super fun all over the mountain. The rocker is awesome. Fun in the pow, fun on the grooms, just all around awesome.
I haven't done much freestyle but I would like to more and this board makes it that much easier!

I'll have to update later on about the magne-traction. I've only had the board out once so far and I spent most of the day aligning my bindings etc. And even with all of that I still had a great time on the board!
Bottom line, get one!

If you were to choose the 159, you would want to go regular, not wide. You could get away with the 156 if you're more into park shreddin'.

Only one superficial problem.....

By:
November 16, 2010

I LOVE this board. In powder this board rides like a dream. My only complaint would be the fact that you pay $500 for something you can't pick. Lib Tech does this "fun" thing where they send you whatever board is next on the shelf. You have absolutely no idea what color scheme you are going to get until you get it. If you try and return it to get another color, you are not guaranteed that it wont be the same color as the last one. I ended up selling this board I got to a friend who liked the color I received. I will not buy another Skate Banana until I can choose the one I want. Take that Lib Tech!!!

It's only certain stores that do this like big shops. If you go to another store (especially a brick one), you can pick your color usually.

I want to buy two snowboards. One of the freestyle, and an all mountain / freeride. Lib tech thought (because Magna-Traction, and I go to a lot of artificial snow). Burton Joystick 159w now, but it is very unstable. I plan to Skate Banana freestyle, and Travis Rice c2btx every mountain / freeride. What do you think it's a good idea? What would be the ideal size for me? Skate Banana 156W, Travis Rice 161.5? Or rather, it would be just one? Skate Banana or Travis Rice? How large? Where I live (Hungary), there is no try!
I was 3 years snowboarding, I'm learning the tricks (360, 540, butter ....) [$]

Parameters:
Height: 185cm (6'1 ")
Weight: 78-83kg (172-183 pounds)
Boot: 11.5 (Burton Ion)

I'm waiting for inspiration!

Hey There,
I wish I could afford more than one board...lol. So at your height, weight and shoe size with the Skate Banana I would go with the 156W. I myself, am 5'8" and 160 sz. 9 and I prefer a shorter board all around so I ride the 149. It will be super fun and buttery for you at that length though since it's for freestyle anyways. As for your second board, the T. Rice 157 will probably work or the 161.5. They aren't made in a wide, but the website reccomends all but the 164.5 to people with feet size 11.5 or smaller, but the burton Ions are a reduced footprint boot so should fit fine. Oh, and if you've got the extra dough, go for the T. Rice with Horsepower, the pop will be better.
