More attuned to cranking out snowboards than skis, it's no wonder that the Lib Tech's Fully Functional Five NAS Ski surfs and floats pow more like a board. Actually, you know what? Don't call them skis—they're narrow ass snowboards (NAS). With a powder-oriented design, rockered tip and tail, and Magne-Traction edges, these skis are ready to rip steep and deep lines, then rally the hard pack down to the base for another round.
Featuring Magne-Traction .5 edges, these skis utilize Lib-Tech serrated edge technology at a less aggressive level. So, you still get great stability in hardpack, but since these skis are made for powder, the serration is dialesback a bit. The rockered tip and tail provide a surfy feel in the deep stuff, while the camber underfoot helps to maintain stability and edge hold when you're laying down turns on the groomers. The 117cm waist provides plenty of float for those truly bottomless days, while the shortish turn radius keeps them nimble enough to hunt out powder stashes through the trees, days after the storm. The sintered base can withstand some abuse, and the fiberglass-laminated aspen core provides some extra pop when you're jibbing in the backcountry.
