Lib Tech took one of the most progressive snowboards available and gave it Banana Technology to make the Dark Series BTX. The reverse camber creates a unique feel that's sure to keep a smile plastered to your face while you're jibbing the hell out of that corporate artwork a few blocks down from your house. Thanks to Lib Tech's Magne-Traction edges, ice feels like powder and no terrain park is safe. But don't think for a second that Lib Tech forgot to give this ride a poppy Golden Fleece core or ultra-fast Sintered UHMW base.

Here's what others have to say...

At what boot size should I start thinking...

At what boot size should I start thinking about going wide on this board? I'm at a ''20 degree / 0 degree '' stance if that matters, thanks!

Impressive Technology that Works

One of the best boards I have tried. I am an advanced freerider, and was looking for a stiff, freeride board. In Washington, you get anything from deep, heavenly powder to bulletproof groomers. I bought the board (mine is the BTX version) based on reviews as I could not find a demo. The first day was after a warm spell and some rain. The groomers were firm to say the least. I was impressed by how well the BTX held its edge. The difference wasn’t dramatic when compared to other high-end, super stiff boards, but was subtly noticeable. You can push and carve a little harder than expected. Despite the conditions, I didn’t have any incidents where the board lost its edge and slid out. The next time I rode, I was in knee to waist deep powder. I found that the banana does a great job at keeping the nose up. The turns were effortless and smooth. I can’t comment on how it handles in the park as I don’t typically do a lot of tricks save an occasional jump off a lip. When I talked to the reps at Lib Tech and described my riding style, this was the board they recommended. I think Lib Tech should market this board a little more for freeriders than they have been. In any case, I am thrilled with my new board.

This board rocks

Just got one of these for 08-09 season. Best board i've ever ridden. Hands down.

Loves powder, but cuts through icy conditions like a champ.

Best damn snowboard ever

I've been riding this board for the last half of the 07-08 season and let me tell you it's by far the best snowboard thats ever been under my feet in all of the 15 years I've been riding!
If you thought the skate banana was good, wait till you rip this thing down the hill! The Dark is a bit stiffer, but very poppie. Quick edge to edge and super smoothe throught transitions. I prefer to ride it in backcountry situations or big park day's... I've ridden away and stomped things that i normally wouldn't or shouldn't have on a cambered board!
