Cygnus X1 BTX Snowboard

The Lib Tech Cygnus X1 BTX Snowboard uses a blend of Farmed Eco Light Timbers and Z Axis Air Polymer construction for serious weight reduction and tons of pop. Lib Tech also uses Ultra Light End Grain Timbers to reduce swing weight and help you stick that cab seven. But the real story is the combination of skate-influence, reverse-camber Banana Technology and Magne-traction edges. Basically, you get badass float in the powder, edge control in icy conditions, and a feel that makes every terrain park feel like your own personal playground.

Bottom Line: You’ve never ridden a board like this one.

Anyone ride this board ? Is it as fast as the Dark Series and does it have as much control on ice as the dark series ? Exclude the fact that it cost 1200 dollars would anyone mind telling me how this board rides ? Does Banana Tech slow the board down ? Is it playful in the park ? It won FSMVP 1st place for premium boards for the last 2 years in a row. I just cant find any review on it really. Also, would burton c02 bindings and Burton Ion be a good match ? Any feedback would be awesome. Thanks.

This board is definitely as advertised. Light/Lots of Pop, Easy to Press, Magnetron performs well. Although the MTX does slow you a bit on a straight line, I didn't really care considering how much speed you can pick up due to the fast base( not as fast as Vapor or Palmer). This board had more Pop than my 09 Evo-R neversummer. Great on Powder and Icy slopes in Park City, Canyons, Brighton, Snowbird, Solitude. I would definitely try to get this board especially if you can get it on sale. Rode it with Union ForceMC 09(that would be another review)
