Lib Technologies 1986 Snow Mullet BTX Snowboard - 2008 BCS

I love this board. Im 6'4, 220lbs - went for the 172. So sick in powder and tears it up carving on groomers. Super stable at lightspeeds on groomers, too. Tail is poppy, feels good. A bit weird riding switch, of course (tail is over an inch narrower than the nose). The narrow tail makes it pretty easy to whip around, good for tight trees and whatnot. I absolutely love this board. Was my first btx/magne board. I dont think i'll ever ride anything without rocker again. hard to notice the magnetraction but i guess it works. Took about 3 runs to get used to the btx and after that its gravy. I bought a rider's choice 166wide to go with it, perfect 2 board quivver, wont need anything else.

This is def. the best board I've ever been on in the POW. I've been rippin this board for the past 2 weeks an it's phenomenal. You can almost try an sink the front of the nose in the snow and it wont go over. There is virtually no back leg burn either. My old board(Montoya Signature) I would get bad back leg burn after about one run in the deep stuff. I can ride like 8 runs now before feeling a thing. If you ride where there is deep pow this board is a must! The magnatraction is also good on the groomers. Holds an edge much better then traditional boards. Def. buy this board.

...because this board makes ice as smooth as powder. The magne-traction keeps the edge glued to any surface. I swear I was looking for shock absorbers or something because this board was just too smooth in the early winter conditions. I can't wait to see what this baby does in the powder. It took me about 3 runs till I got used to the banana tech. At first I was getting swirly when bombing at fast speeds but you learn how to control the board after a few runs. This is a 800 dollar board for under 600! WELL worth the investment for serious and skilled riders.

I ripped this board in two feet of POW last weekend up here in AK.... I'm 5'10 226 ( yes a fat ass) and im rocking a 160 that floats like no ones business... the set back stance is sweet... wouldnt recomend it if you love riding switch (due to the taper design) but the rocker tech helps.. cant wait for thr resort to open so i can see how it handles on the groomers... im sure the magne traction will do its job!

I have been riding Neversummer boards for the past 6 years, and I absolutely love them. I used to have a Forum Roost as a powder board (tapered shape and shovel nose), but I wanted to see what all the hype surrounding the magnatraction and banana tech was all about, so I picked this board up as a replacement for the Forum. This board just dominates fresh snow. The reverse camber allows you to initiate tight technical turns in deep snow with ease, and it just floats on anything with minimal effort. This is a perfect pow board, and it handles well on the groomers too. I've even taken it in the park and it does alright, but you can't ride it switch at speeds or stick switch landings too well. The board isn't quite as durable as my Neversummer Heritage, and to be honest I think the magnatraction doesn't make a difference out west (might help on the east coast). If you are an advanced rider the reverse camber is what you are looking for. I'd say my Neversummer is more fun to ride all over the mountain and in the park, and this board just takes over when the snow starts to fall.

The clown who says you can take it in the park is an idiot!!! For POW it's the greatest board i have ever ridden. I am 6'2 and the 165 turns and carves like its a 160. I should of gotten the 172. It's that good. Don't even think of ridding it in the park or floating backside 180's in deep pow because it does not have much of a tail. You can ride it switch on groomers but if thats what you are riding all day you are on the wrong board. That's where the dark series comes in.

I just got this board in not too long ago an i LOVE IT. Definitely one of the best boards I've ever been on. Got to take it out on some fresh pow today and it is so effortless to ride. No more leg burn with this rocker system!

Just got done with my first trip with this board and I can testify that you CANNOT bury the nose in powder not matter how hard you try! I took my 2008 model 165 mullet (I'm 5'9" 155) to Naeba Japan in some deep untouched pow and have never had so much fun in the pow. I found myself staring at her nose in aw as powder parted like the red sea, never once sinking. No more back leg camps after getting to the bottom of the mountain. Oh yea, she handles the groomed and choppy snow nicely as well, very stable, for some reason she just dosen't want to catch and edge. :)

I am 6'2, 165 lbs and I rode the Mullet 165 with the Magne- Traction for the first time last week. The Magne-Traction let me cut through ice, hardpack, and chunder. The chatter is minimal and the response is fast. Although it does have a directional cut, I didn't ride it in powder so I couldn't tell ya how it handles. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the handling on the hard stuff.

I am 6'2, 225 lbs and I demoed last years model of the Mullet 165. Although last years model did not have the Rocker it did have the Magne-Traction. The Board can stick to anything. The Magne-Traction could cut through all the groomers, float over deeper snow and it's torsional stiffness combined with how light this board is was fantastic. You could pop over anything and easily pull the board around without worrying about the it over twisting or casing. Great All-Mountain board. I would recommend it to anyone who want one board that you can take in the park and still rip the rest of the mountain.
