just got to use my new snow shoes this past weekend in northern vt. I tried them on previously with the boots i intended to wear with them, glad i gave this dry run so I was not frustrated putting them on in the 3 degree temps we had. I will say i thought the straps may not stay tight but they held just fine and the second time I put them on it was even easier. My husband has the atlas 1030 series and is just as happy. We had a great time using them easily through deep woods and open logging roads.

Can't find better poles.

Lightweight. Perfect for backpacking, backcountry skiing, tent/tarp pitching, and impressing people with your titanium, badass trekking poles. Solid construction, durable as all-get-out, and great performance. In cold weather the adjustments get "finicky" (still worth it), but they’ve never let me down. Get "snowflake" baskets (from Leki), and just go man. Just go.

Excellent Hiking Poles

By:

My Ultralite hiking poles are great. They reduce the wear and tear on my left leg's chronic tendonitis. They increase the productivity of the hikes I use as solo workouts. Descending hills is much easier and faster now. Great value!
