Give yourself a little extra support and strength on your next backpacking trip with the help of the Leki Tour Trekking Poles. These lightweight poles easily adjust to whatever length you may need for changing terrain. Take the strain and pressure away from your knees and back with these locking poles. The Tour Trekking Poles' Ergo Soft grip gives you and easy hold while you push your way up the trail ahead of you. Count on Leki's Standard Extender System to keep you poles locked at your chosen length. When you want to collapse the Tour Poles at the end of your hike, simply twist the shaft clockwise and the poles collapse down to 67 centimeters, which fits easily on your backpack or into a car trunk.

Bottom Line: Push your trekking and backpacking farther with the Leki Tour Trekking Poles.

locking mechanism complaint

The locking mechanism is problematic. After much grief, I switched to a well-known superior design that is much simpler and trouble-free.

For the leiki poles ..how do you take them apart and clean them up so they don't stick and lock easier?

Be happy that are in one piece and keep them that way. Perhaps a little WD-40?

Leki poles

Although great once you've got these poles extended, getting them to tighten is a pain. I was backcountry hiking in the NC mountains and trying to get one of the poles to tighten when I just happened to run into a guy with the same poles who showed me how to adjust the poles from inside. This works about 1/2 the time. If I were to order again, I'd find some with a different locking mechanism.

They did the job during my most recent backpacking trip. I didn't have problems with them, which is a compliment, I guess.
